Talent Tracker: Who’s gone where

The digital industry isn’t really about technology. Even in these difficult times, it’s still about people. Talent, the hunt for talent and its retention are the bedrock of the industry. NDA’s Talent Tracker column provides a regular update on which companies are recruiting who and from where.

Molzi has hired Charlie Merrells as Chief Strategy Officer. Previously the UK Category Leader for Beer, Wine and Spirits at Amazon, Merrells will be responsible for the company’s international expansion and growing its offerings for global brands. The hire supports Molzi’s commitment to find and conquer Amazon growth opportunities for the world’s biggest brands. 

DoubleVerify (“DV”), has announced the appointment of seasoned digital media industry executive, Takashi Takeda, to launch and lead its business in Japan. Takeda is charged with setting up DV’s operations in Japan, and building relationships with brands, agencies and media platforms. He will bring DV’s sophisticated ad verification tools to the Japanese market.

A 30-year media industry executive, Takeda was formerly a director at Google in Japan, heading its Creative Solutions and Partnerships business unit. He was also the former President and CEO of DDB Japan, and previously worked for JWT and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Resonance, announced the appointment of  Nadia Nizar as Director of Influencer Relations to lead its expanding Analyst Relations division. Having worked in both agency and in-house environments, Nadia understands the importance of uniting PR, AR and inbound outreach and aligning with product marketing. She has 20 years of corporate communications experience and has evoked real business impact with her influencer relations strategies and knowledge.

Paul O’Donnell, Chief Executive of Ogilvy EMEA has been voted as the new President of the European Association of Communications Agencies for a two-year term. He succeeds Dominic Grainger, Chief Executive Officer, WPP Specialist Communications, who has been EACA’s head since 2016. O’Donnell’s two-year tenure will be focussed on increasing co-operation and collaboration across Europe as the world’s largest advertising market responds to the twin challenges of Coronavirus and Brexit.

Avivah Wittenberg-Cox, a global expert in gender balance, and Manny Amadi, MVO, a purpose-led business expert, have joined Red Badger’s Advisory Board. 

Avivah Wittenberg-Cox is a global expert on all things gender balance. She is the CEO of 20-first, a global consulting firm working with companies interested in capturing the competitive advantage of gender, nationality, and generational balance. Manny Amadi, named ‘a responsible business guru’ by Guardian, has worked in an advisory capacity on a wide range of issues with leading multi-national companies,  international agencies and NGOs, including UNICEF, Greenpeace, and WWF amongst many others.

Hootsuite, the global leader in social media management, announced Darren Guarnaccia has joined the company as SVP of Product. Guarnaccia brings over 20 years of experience in marketing technology and over 25 years of high-tech experience to his role at Hootsuite, where he will lead the company’s product management, product strategy, and product marketing functions. 

Personio, has appointed Birgit Haderer as Chief Financial Officer. Starting her new role in June, the former Zalando SVP Finance and Goldman Sachs VP will be tasked with further scaling Personio’s finance, legal and BI departments. 

Tech talent specialist, mthree, has appointed Justin de Ferry as head of client services, to cover its global operations. Justin has more than 20 years experience in recruitment and executive search, working in both London and New York during his career, where he founded and established Boundary Talent International, before joining mthree.

Justin will manage teams across a number of mthree’s sites, including the UK, United States of America and Asia. He will be responsible for the account development of the firm’s existing accounts, and manage senior stakeholder relationships, as well as overseeing teams across three sites.

Duffel has recruited Norberto Lopes, formerly one of the most senior engineers at high-profile British fintech firm GoCardless, to be its Chief Technology Officer. At GoCardless he was the driving force behind the migration of the company’s software infrastructure to the cloud.

Globalization Partners has announced that Todd Goffman has joined the company as General Counsel reporting to CEO Nicole Sahin. In addition to leading the legal team, Mr Goffman will be responsible for corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and managing legal compliance across the company’s entire global footprint which spans 170 countries. 

Mr Goffman’s 25 years of experience include leading the legal, finance and HR departments at Netcracker Technology Corporation, a Boston-headquartered company which he also led through explosive growth and the sale of the company.  In addition, he advised high-growth, technology companies as a member of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. 

Huddersfield PR and communications firm, KC Communications, has welcomed three new members of staff; Account Director, Ellis Noble from Jaywing PR and Junior Account Managers, Megan Booth from A-Safe and Kayleigh Morgan from Metro Rod. 

Ellis will assume responsibility for overseeing the client services team and leading on key accounts including UKCaravans4Hire.com, Marshalls Mill, Poppleton & Appleby Northern and some of the firm’s new client wins. Megan and Kayleigh both bring valuable experience from the manufacturing and construction sectors and will play a vital role in the development and implementation of client communication strategies.
