Talent Tracker: Who’s going where

NDA’s Talent Tracker column provides a regular update on which companies are recruiting who and from where.

Media agency veteran Matt Champion joins Audience Store where he becomes the division’s first VP Client Development and Success. He joins Audience Store from his role as COO of mobile start-up Slice, where he led the creation of an app that allowed consumers to control – and monetise – their stored personal data. 

Matt Rumbelow has been appointed as full-time Head of Design and Marketing at Safepoint. As a co-founder of Safepoint, Matt has been working part-time behind-the-scenes in this role over the last couple of years whilst running his own design and marketing company. 

Jeremy Daniels has joined Gekko as senior Account Director and is responsible for directing and expanding the agency’s strategic partnerships with key clients. With a wealth of experience in the Telco sector, Daniels brings not only industry knowledge and commercial acumen but also the drive to spot and maximise sales opportunities. His most recent role was managing the UK launch of Xiaomi into key retailers as well as the distribution channel. Previous roles have been at LG Mobile, ModeLabs and Kondor. 

Cloudinary, which provides image and video management software-as-a-service for digital marketing teams, has promoted Amit Sharon, to Chief Operating Officer. Sharon is based in the UK and received the promotion after nearly 6 years in the role of VP of Customer Success.

Ribbon Communications Inc. has announced that Julio Villafañe has joined the company as Vice President of Sales for the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region. Villafañe will be responsible for leading and driving Ribbon’s revenue growth and business development efforts in the CALA region. Villafañe has more than 25 years of international business experience, which includes leading sales and business development efforts for world-class organizations like Motorola, Cisco, Harris, SES and Inmarsat in the CALA region.

SparkPost has welcomed Natalia Dykyj to the company as Vice President and Head of Marketing. Natalia has spent the better part of the last 20 years helping organizations maximize their market potential. Most recently, Natalia served as VP of Brand Management at Web.com Group, a leading web technology company, where she led the re-launch of the Web.com brand and the expansion of acquisition marketing programs.

1-Fix has announced the appointment of Bonnie Simester as Operations Manager. In the newly appointed position, Bonnie’s focus will be to boost service delivery across the firm’s client base. Bonnie joins with several years of industry experience, with her most recent role being at KompiTech.  Here she held a management position as Service Delivery Manager.

Former WeWork managing director Ole Ruch is joining the global early-stage VC Antler as a partner and board member. Along with being an active angel investor, prior to joining WeWork Ruch also held senior management roles at Airbnb, Groupon and Fredensborg.

Bitdefender has recruited seasoned industry executives Steve Kelley as President and General Manager of the new business unit and Chris Brazdziunas as SVP Product and Service Engineering. Kelly joins from GoSecure where he was Chief Revenue Officer. Brazdziunas joins from her role as Chief Product Officer at ThreatX.

Acumentice has announced the appointment of Philip Purdy as a senior consultant, where he will support the business to develop its elective care management and recovery offer as well as supporting client sites with the delivery of their plans and objectives. Joining from NHS England, Purdy has seven years of experience in leading, assuring and consulting within elective care recovery and improvement programmes.

ContactEngine Inc. has appointed two new board members – Michael Beckley and Tarita Miller. Both widely experienced in the technology industry, Michael and Tarita bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Michael is a founder and the Chief Technology Officer of software company Appian, where he leads the company’s technology vision and oversees customer initiatives worldwide. Tarita is a solutions implementation expert who managed several network operation centres for Verizon for over thirty years and was most recently responsible for supporting the operation call centres for the entire Verizon footprint.

TravelPerk has announced the appointment of Tal Zohar as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Zohar joins having spent more than 10 years at Wix.com, a global leader in web development, where he held a number of roles, including Online Marketing Director and Vice President of Business Analytics and Data Science.

Tmwi has announced a series of new hires as it looks to expand its team of experts. Matt Baxter takes on the role of Web Development and Creative Manager, joining from BHIB Insurance Brokers, Ammar Wahid, joining from Ofqual, has been appointed as Data Analyst, and Maria Keane joins from her role as Senior Account Manager at Modern Media to join tmwi as Account Manager. 

Workfront has announced that the company’s Head of Global Business Development, Paige Erickson, has been appointed the Managing Director of Workfront’s operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). With more than 30 years of experience building and leading high-performing global teams, Erickson joined Workfront in 2016 as Senior Vice President for Business Development and has been responsible for establishing the Workfront Partner Network. 

Michelle Grover has joined Twilio as its first Chief Information Officer, where she will be responsible for upleveling the technology systems and processes that drive innovation and growth at Twilio. Most recently, Grover was the senior vice president of software development at SAP Concur, where she led a global team of mobile and platform engineers that focused on TripIt and the Concur mobile app.
