Ogilvy has appointed Nicola Dodd as its new Managing Director of Ogilvy PR in the UK. With over 25 years of brand communications experience across agency and in-house, Dodd has been a Managing Partner and part of the Ogilvy PR leadership team since 2019, leading new business, overseeing operations and corporate and consumer work for clients including Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson, UNESCO and Aldi. Prior to Ogilvy, Dodd was Deputy Managing Director of Karmarama PR agency, Kaper.

HUMAN Security, Inc. (formerly White Ops), a cybersecurity company that protects enterprises from bot attacks to keep digital experiences human, has announced a partnership with InMobi, a provider of marketing and monetisation technologies that fuel industries around the world. The partnership, which includes a direct integration with HUMAN’s MediaGuard solution, enforces both companies’ commitment to building a transparent and fraud-free in-app advertising ecosystem with real-time visibility and active protection against malicious bot activity. In addition, InMobi is joining the Human Collective as part of a continued, collaborative effort to disincentivise cybercrime by raising the consequences and practical cost of fraud through shared resources and cooperation across the industry.   

The Croc has hired Saatchi & Saatchi’s Jack Trew as Strategy Director as it continues to super-charge and strengthen its strategic offering as the B2B industry continues to see huge growth post-pandemic. Trew joins from Saatchi & Saatchi where he held the position of Senior Planner, leading strategy on brands including EE and Visa. Prior to that, he worked at AnalogFolk. Trew was brought in because of his extensive experience within the digital field, his sharp thinking and his ability to stay cool under pressure.

Liftoff, a global performance-based mobile app marketing optimisation platform, and Vungle, a global mobile app discovery and enablement platform, have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to combine. The merger will create one of the world’s largest independent and privacy-friendly platforms that fuels the entire mobile app growth cycle across user acquisition, engagement, monetisation, and analytics. Liftoff co-founder and CEO Mark Ellis will lead the combined company as CEO and Vungle CEO Jeremy Bondy will be assuming the role of President. The transaction follows prior majority investments from private equity funds managed by Blackstone (“Blackstone”) in both Liftoff and Vungle.

Born Social has announced Steph Ross as the new Head of Social Media Management. Having joined Born Social in 2017 as an account manager, Ross’s role later evolved into a senior social media manager job before starting her new role. Prior to joining the agency, she worked in marketing for a range of FMCG challenger brands, including PROPERCORN. Ross has helped shape Born Social’s influencer marketing output having worked with global brands including Veet, Air Wick and Valspar. As Head of Social Media Management, Ross will be responsible for directing the wider social media management and client services teams.
