DoubleVerify, a software platform for digital media measurement, data and analytics, has announced the appointment of Daniel Slotwiner to Senior Vice President of Attention. In this role, Slotwiner will oversee all attention initiatives at DV including product innovation, go-to-market strategy and commercialization activities, as well as the development of attention-based industry research and campaign performance insights and recommendations. As the Director of Advertising Research at Facebook for ten years, Slotwiner led a team in evaluating ad effectiveness and improving performance for advertisers. Previously, at Google, he focused on competitive research and panel-based measurement solutions. Most recently, Slotwiner served as VP of Measurement, Insights, and Product Marketing Manager at GoPuff, helping the company activate its data for its retail media business.

Anzu, the most advanced intrinsic in-game advertising solution, has announced the appointment of Nerissa MacDonald as EVP of Global Sales. MacDonald, an innovative global leader and industry veteran, has worked in regional and international roles for over 20 years and has experience leading global teams, strategy, consultation, and partnerships with brands, agencies, and tech partners. MacDonald will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, having worked in leadership positions at Adform, Sizmek, and most recently, Meta, where she built and led diverse revenue-driving teams, managed complex re-orgs, new product launches, and global go-to-market programs internationally. MacDonald has the perfect background to helm Anzu’s global sales team with direct experience in various digital disciplines across the evolving metaverse and creator space, including adtech, programmatic, video, data, and mobile. She is also a passionate advocate and active ally of Women in Tech and the Black community, leading impactful initiatives for companies and the wider industry.

Global experience design company, Imagination, promotes Chad Hines to Director of Business Development for the Americas. Hines, who was previously responsible for the business development of Detroit, will play a key role in fueling growth and exploring new business opportunities across the North American region. Hines brings 22 years of extensive industry experience to Imagination, having previously served as Head of Customer Acquisition and Strategy Development for Live Events and Experiential Programs at Contravent. His impressive portfolio features collaborations with major global brands such as Walmart, Samsung, Nike, and Microsoft.

Outbrain Inc., a recommendation platform for the open web, has announced key promotions to scale global operations, drive innovation, and expand Outbrain’s offerings for brands, advertisers, and publishers. These appointments follow Alexander Erlmeier’s promotion to Chief Revenue Officer in October 2022. The leadership appointments include Ayal Steiner – Executive Vice President, of Brand Solutions who will be overseeing the development of innovative solutions for brands and agencies looking to drive measurable outcomes and deeper engagement with audiences and Stephanie Himoff, Executive Vice President of Global Publishers who will be leading strategic publisher initiatives on a global scale. Sarah Baird joins as Senior Vice President, Revenue Operations, leading revenue operations and enablement functions to provide strategies designed to support clients at scale, and Craig Hughes joins as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy; General Manager, Video, driving Outbrain’s video strategy and business globally, and managing strategic initiatives and partnerships to deepen Outbrain’s industry presence. Klaus Ludemann takes on the role of Senior Vice President, Programmatic and Partnerships, managing programmatic partnerships and adoption in service of advertisers and publishers and Guy Yagur joins as Senior Vice President, Global Performance and Growth Revenue, leading a newly centralized global hub focused on supporting and scaling performance-based and DIY customers. In addition, Outbrain announced the appointment of Amrita de la Peña, former General Manager, of APAC at Sprout Social and Head of Global Brands for JAPAC at Twitter, to serve as Managing Director, APAC.

Immediate Media Co announces the appointment of Jessica Norell Neeson as Managing Director of its market-leading Food Portfolio and David Reay as People Director, as it strengthens its leadership capabilities in two key strategic business areas. Norell Neeson will have responsibility for Immediate’s Food Group, the UK’s largest food media portfolio including BBC Good Food and olive, and Nutracheck, the UK’s leading subscription-based weight management and dietary improvement platform, as Immediate looks to accelerate its growth in the food and health sectors through continued digital expansion, new product development, partnerships and strategic M&A. With 20 years of experience leading consumer digital businesses, Norell Neeson joins Immediate from Barclays UK, where she was Managing Director Customer Propositions, leading the development of new products, features and solutions across retail and digital to improve customer experience and engagement. Norell Neeson previously held senior commercial, customer and product-centric roles at Paddy Power, running large businesses focused on improving multi-channel customer engagement, loyalty and experience, as well as strategy roles at Vodafone and Bain and Company. David Reay joins Immediate as People Director taking a strategic lead on people development, culture, ED&I and talent management, reporting to Jo Brandl, Chief People Officer. Reay will head up Immediate’s People Team, incorporating the HR, Internal Events, Learning and Development, ED&I, Facilities, Talent Acquisition and Communications functions. With a passion for driving diversity, talent development and creating environments where people flourish, Reay has over 15 years of senior HR and People leadership experience. Reay joins from Condé Nast, where as SVP for People, Editorial and Entertainment, he led the people function for the global editorial and entertainment divisions, across journalism, creative, digital, film and TV. Reay has also previously held senior People leadership roles at TikTok, Sony Music, RSA and BAE Systems.

Shieldpay, a specialist in high-value B2B payments, has announced the appointment of Andrew Hawkins as Chief Executive Officer for UK and Europe. Hawkins, formerly Chief Technology and Product Officer at Shieldpay, will be taking over the role from Founder, Peter Janes who moves to Group CEO as part of Shieldpay’s strategic plan to prepare for its next stage of growth and expansion. In his new position, Hawkins will play a pivotal role in helping the business scale in the UK, enter new sectors, and enhance Shieldpay’s positioning in the fintech arena. With several exciting partnerships in the pipeline, Hawkins will be instrumental in accelerating Shieldpay’s growth trajectory in 2023 and beyond, including driving expansion into Europe. Hawkins brings over 25 years of technology experience to his new role, including seven years at Microsoft before holding senior leadership positions at HSBC and the unicorn challenger bank Zopa. His depth of expertise in technology and leadership in both start-ups and established companies alike makes Hawkins well-equipped to guide Shieldpay into the future.

Global sport and entertainment marketing agency Fuse has announced that Victoria Chew has been promoted to Managing Partner, as the company enhances its growth and client servicing across all portfolios. As part of her promotion, Chew will also join Fuse’s Executive Board. In her new role as Managing Partner, Chew will be responsible for driving new business and overseeing client servicing across Fuse’s sports and entertainment portfolios, working with clients including:  Trivago, Vodafone, Asahi Super Dry and PepsiCo Entertainment. Chew will also continue to grow Fuse’s entertainment proposition while showcasing its expertise in Music Festivals, Talent Deals and Music Licensing. Chew joined Fuse 10 years ago and has been integral to helping grow the business. Within her time at Fuse, Chew has achieved year-on-year growth of key retained clients, as well as important new business wins including Enterprise, HSBC, Vodafone, Skoda, and Asahi. Chew will report to Sarah Kendall, Managing Director at Fuse. 

Independent media agency, The Kite Factory, has announced the appointment of John Clarvis to the newly-created role of Data and Insights Director. Prior to his appointment at The Kite Factory, Clarvis was a freelance Data Scientist building AI for education and creative services start-ups and worked for global agencies MEC and Wavemaker on an array of award-winning projects including Thames Pulse and real-time predictive social tool Project Black. Reporting to the agency’s interim Head of Data and Analytics, Guy Hancox, Clarvis will combine his technological skills and media knowledge to build innovative tools that will leverage The Kite Factory’s vast media datasets and automation capabilities, bolstering the ‘Science’, in its ‘Heart, Art and Science’ proposition and ultimately leading to deeper insights and more effective, creative marketing strategies.

Kantar Media, part of Kantar Group Holdings, has announced the appointment of Patrick Béhar as Global CEO, effective September 2023. Chris Allen, who has successfully led the executive team since 2022, will now focus exclusively on his role as Kantar Media Global CFO. Mr Béhar brings more than 25 years of international experience in the media industry. He currently serves as Chief Business Officer for Sky Group, a part of Comcast, and Europe’s largest media company and pay-TV broadcaster. In that role, Béhar has been managing and expanding all of Sky’s relationships with content and distribution partners, as well as driving Sky Media’s advertising revenues.

Equator, a digital consultancy, has announced the appointment of Talha Ihsan as its new CRM Team Lead. Ihsan will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing CRM strategies for all clients, both across the consultancy and within the Private Equity arm of the business. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, including the last eight years specifically focused on CRM, Ihsan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Equator. He comes from mobility service provider start-up FreeNow and has also spent time at well-established corporates including Debenhams, Skyscanner and The Football Association. His expertise in CRM operations and technology, as well as his experience in solution definition, automation tools, and innovations, make him a key addition as Equator continues to develop its CRM offering. Ihsan will play a pivotal role in driving the consultancy’s end-to-end CRM proposition through his abilities across CRM strategy, operations, and technology.

Onetag, the non-traditional SSP, has made two new hires as the company looks to expand its UK sales operations. Silke Zetzsche joins as Director of Sales, Demand and Umar Nadat as Sales Director, Supply. As Director of Sales, Demand, Silke joins with a proven track record of launching innovative commercial products into the UK ad-tech market. She is tasked with increasing revenue in the UK and growing the Onetag brand as a trusted and outstanding partner for all major demand clients. Previously, she was Commercial Director at personalisation digital audio specialists, AMA, where she was responsible for revenue growth and commercial team success in the UK, EMEA and APAC. Umar joins the business with seven years of experience working with publishers, during which he gained expert knowledge of SSPs. Most recently he was Head of Supply at JW Player, where he worked directly with publishers to help improve their monetisation. In his new position at Onetag, Umar will continue his work with publishers to help drive incremental revenue. In addition to these hires, Onetag has also expanded its US sales operations with the appointments of Rachel Howard Reyes as Director of Sales, US and Patrick Engelhart as Vice President of Sales. As Director of Sales, US, Howard will be responsible for pushing the company’s demand-side offering out to market and building strong relationships with agency and trading desk personnel. As Vice President of Sales, Engelhart’s key responsibilities will include leading the sales team and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.
