Agency news: VCCP, Wavemaker, The Space Between, and more

Transport for London (TfL) and creative agency of record VCCP London have launched a new campaign which brings awareness to the six newly-named London Overground lines, each of which aims to celebrate London’s diverse history and culture. The campaign will run across London’s transport network and will be promoted through a mix of out-of-home advertising, press, and in-station activities. In addition to the visual elements, TfL has released a series of ‘Mind the Gap’ podcasts, which delve into the historical and cultural significance of each line’s name. Media strategy and planning have been led by Wavemaker UK.

The Space Between has been appointed by the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) as its retained PR and communications agency for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The agency’s brief is to help supercharge growth for the championship, delivering global creative activations and campaigns, alongside providing press office function and on-ground communications at global race events. WSX is the FIM’s global championship for supercross, a sport with a huge captive audience across the world. Leading the charge on communicating with key industry and consumer media and influencers, The Space Between will play an important role in awareness driving across new audiences, as well as engaging the existing hardcore fanbase.

The international More Agencies network has launched with sixteen owner-managed agencies with London and New Zealand based agency Rochester PR Group one of the founding members. The network combines the core competencies of PR and digital into a holistic approach for awareness, digital presence and brand building. The aim is to position More Agencies with companies as a lean agency solution for international marketing and communication. The founding members of More Agencies include agencies in 19 countries with a combined total of around 500 employees. 

Independent integrated agency Trouble Maker Group has acquired branded entertainment production studio The Outfit, as part of its ongoing strategy to provide entertainment-led content to brands. With client work including  Channel 4, HelloFresh, Ring, McDonald’s and Esteìe Lauder, award-winning The Outfit is known for breaking new ground in the branded entertainment content space and has picked up accolades from Cannes Lions, Campaign Big Awards, the Marketing Society and ‘Campaign of the Year’ from Marketing Week to name a few. The team will continue to be led by founders Charlie Read and Niall Murdoch, previously part of the team that founded 4Creative – Channel 4’s creative agency.

Birmingham-based homelessness charity SIFA Fireside has launched its latest campaign, ‘Inequality Street.’ A satirical chocolate box has been created to shine a light on the problems of poverty and homelessness. The campaign execution, led entirely pro-bono by Birmingham full-service agency Leopard Co, includes PR, social media, design and event management. The creative was developed by London-based creative comms agency Shook.

Greenland Seeds has appointed Leeds-based digital agency Perfect Storm to create its digital marketing strategy. Perfect Storm will help Greenland Seeds take a customer-first approach to its digital marketing strategy.
