Harry Darlington has been appointed as Strategy Director at independent media agency Medialab. The move is part of Medialab’s ongoing commitment to reinforce its strategic leadership and sees Darlington join Integration Director, Nick Parker, and Head of Planning, Jess Talbot.
Darlington will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of a number of Medialab’s clients and helping to create innovative and award-winning work. This builds on Medialab’s growth journey, which has seen them expand to over 150 people to support client growth and new business wins, including recent account wins of Hovis, Standard Life and Save the Children.
Previously at OMD UK, Darlington brings over a decade of experience, having led campaigns for renowned brands such as McDonald’s and PepsiCo. He started his career as a Comms Planner back in 2012 and has since worked on a variety of brands and categories. Halfway through his time at OMD UK he moved into strategy, broadening his responsibilities to include new business and helping to evolve and train the agency’s planning process.
Darlington said: “I am eager to bring my experience and some fresh insights to Medialab and their clients. It’s an exciting time to be part of a company that is in a period of substantial growth.”
Alex Kirk, Managing Director adds “Harry’s expertise and industry knowledge make him an invaluable addition to our team. As we continue to grow and innovate, his leadership will ensure that our strategic capabilities not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our clients.”
