Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has hired Kiran Bance as Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at OMG UK, tasking her with leading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts across the business.
Reporting into Nicki Hare, Chief Marketing Officer at OMG UK and Chair of the UK DEI Steering Group, and Claire Douglas-Pennant, Chief People Officer at OMG UK, Bance will drive DEI strategy and implementation across OMG’s UK operations.
“Kiran is an engaging and collaborative DEI leader who joins us with a breadth of specialist experience gained within the media, finance, and charity sectors,” said Laura Fenton, CEO of OMG UK. “With her previous experience and proven successes, driving positive change across matrix structured businesses, focussing both internally and externally, she will ensure that we continue to build on the important work we have done to date, to champion diversity across OMG and the wider industry.”
Bance was previously Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Macmillan Cancer Support, where she created the charity’s first DEI strategy, bringing together the internal and external mission to be more representative of everyone living with cancer.
Prior to her time at Macmillan, Bance served as Head of Diversity and Inclusion at ITN, working to increase female and ethnic representation and participation on-screen and behind-the-scenes. Before that, she drove gender and ethnic representation at the Bank of England as Diversity Lead.
