BBC Studios, the commercial subsidiary of the BBC, has announced the appointment of Nat Poulter, former Co-CEO of global social publisher Jungle Creations, as Vice President of Digital – Commercial, effective immediately. Based in London, Poulter will be responsible for building a cross-platform digital consumer proposition across a portfolio of new and expanding brands with the aim of strengthening BBC Studios’ position as a partner for impactful and integrated global campaigns. In this new role for the company, Poulter will be focused on commercially growing BBC Studios’ roster of brands and IP including the established Top Gear, Doctor Who and BBC Earth as well as kids’ properties such as Bluey and Hey Duggee; and expanding their reach across all digital platforms to fully connect with new and existing audiences. Poulter joins BBC Studios from Jungle Creations, a Global Social Publisher where he was co-chief executive officer. Over the course of six years Poulter drove the growth of this business from an outfit of 30 people and £3M revenues to 175 people, £30M+ revenues and £6M EBITDA. During his tenure, Jungle Creations was named 14th in the Financial Times’ list of Europe’s fastest growing companies. Prior to this, Poulter launched and led the programmatic monetisation strategy for DMG Media, the world’s largest global publishing house. Whilst there, Poulter won the rising star accolade at the Media Week Awards for the role he played in building proprietary technology to increase advertising yields by more than 30%.
Brand Metrics, the global brand uplift measurement specialist, has appointed Cornelia Alvelind as Customer Success Manager as it aims to further strengthen its service to publishers and their advertisers. In her new role, Alvelind will act as a strategic link between Brand Metrics and its partners to ensure they get the best experience possible – and the results they need – using the company’s unique technology. As part of her role, Alvelind will also work to develop the Brand Metrics platform so that it is ideally placed to service its clients’ requirements. Based out of Gothenburg, Sweden, Alvelind’s previous roles include a variety of brand-centric positions at leading fashion houses. These include global Japanese designer and retailer UNIQLO, where Alvelind was a Visual Merchandiser Supervisor responsible for visual communications and in-store materials. Prior to that, Alvelind worked at Acne Studios where, as a Client Advisor, she helped build strong connections between the fashion brand and its customers.
Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the media services division of Omnicom Group Inc., has named Dan Clays CEO of OMG EMEA. In his new role, Clays, who has been CEO of OMG UK for the past four years, will oversee strategy, operations and the development and adoption of transformative capabilities to support OMG agencies – including OMD, PHD, Hearts & Science, and the Annalect data and analytics division – across EMEA. Clays succeeds Guy Marks, who was recently named CEO of PHD Worldwide. During his tenure as CEO of OMG UK, Clays has played a key role in advancing OMG’s Agency as a Platform approach that connects media, content, and commerce to drive sales and grow share for Omnicom clients. In that capacity, he led the expansion of Omnicom’s Transact connected commerce consultancy in the UK, paving the way for the ground-breaking retail media partnership between OMG and Tesco announced last month; and helped establish OMG’s TRKKN analytics and cloud consultancy in the market.

As a senior technology and digital transformation expert, Uppal brings more than two decades of experience to his role at Pulsant. As Group Technical Director at JLA Group – a position he held from 2019 until the present – he led a three-year improvement plan to deliver a cohesive service ecosystem through IoT innovation within JLA to improve process efficiency and digital client engagement. His impressive track record in driving technological change to support business resilience and performance has seen him hold senior technology roles in both public and private sector organisations.

Onetag, the global independent programmatic platform, has announced the appointment of Filippo Gramigna as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to front the company’s international commercial growth. As Onetag’s COO, Gramigna will utilise his expertise across various areas such as business development, partnerships and marketing to lead the company’s entire commercial operations, encompassing demand and supply sales and customer success, as well as marketing and partnerships. He brings with him significant business acumen, a focus on value creation and the methodological approach needed to support the business through its international expansion. Gramigna joins Onetag with more than 20 years of global, multidisciplinary experience in digital media, programmatic advertising and data management. Mediaocean, the mission-critical platform for omnichannel advertising, has announced the promotion of Nick Galassi to President and Chief Financial Officer. The elevated appointment punctuates a 15-year tenure for Galassi with Mediaocean, including co-founding the company through a merger of MediaBank and Donovan Data Systems. During that time, Galassi has led a series of critical activities spanning financing, acquisition, and innovation. Prior to this new appointment, Galassi previously served in the roles of CFO, President of Agency Systems, as well as COO. Today, he leads Mediaocean’s Ad Infrastructure business unit, overseeing client services, technology operations, products, and engineering for flagship products like Prisma. He also runs the company’s entire General and Administrative function, which includes finance, people and culture, legal, and business operations.

Raniere brings more than 15 years of experience with a successful track record in driving top-line revenues, growing profits and leading high performance cultures. In this role, he will scale new customer acquisition and expand existing customers’ protection by deploying the full suite of DataDome solutions, ensuring online businesses are wholly protected against today’s sophisticated automated threats. Raniere joins DataDome from Ontinue, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer and played a pivotal role in orchestrating remarkable revenue growth and introducing new routes to market, including the spin-off of Ontinue from Open Systems, and cross-selling new business lines. Prior to Ontinue, Raniere spent several years at SecureWorks, a market leader in Managed Detection and Response, leading their customer acquisition and expansion.
Earnix, a global provider of intelligent SaaS solutions for insurers and banks, has announced the appointment of Erez Barak to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) effective September 10. Barak will helm Earnix’s research and development (R&D) and analytics teams. He is a seasoned technology executive with more than 22 years of experience including leadership roles at tech giants Microsoft and HP. His passion for solving business problems through innovative technologies and engaging product experiences is rooted in his diverse background, including cloud infrastructure, big data systems, AI systems, developer platforms, enterprise productivity and marketing systems. He has held engineering and product roles at Optify (acquired by Marketo), and Mercury Interactive. Most recently, Barak was General Manager and Vice President of Engineering at Sumo Logic, a machine data analytics, operations, and business intelligence company.
Publicis Groupe UK has named Victoria Wright as the new CEO of Publicis Health UK. Wright will report to Loris Nold, CEO of Publicis Groupe EMEA. She takes over from Philip Chin, who is stepping down after 40 years in the industry. Wright takes up the role following more than 13 years with Publicis Groupe, most recently in the post of CEO of Langland. In this role, she united the specialisms of clinical trial experience, medical strategy and education, public relations, and advertising under one P&L to offer healthcare clients a single proposition. She was previously group managing director, after being promoted from managing director in 2019. Before this, she was general manager of Publicis Resolute, an agency she joined in 2007. Chin is stepping down from his role as President (Europe) of Publicis Health, which he has held for the past eight years. Chin will continue as Chairman (Europe) of Publicis Health until the end of the year, reporting to Alexandra von Plato, CEO of Publicis Health.
