New Digital Age has renewed its partnership with Outvertising for its Media Pride initiative.
Media Pride is a content and events initiative to provide a space for discussion and debate around LGBTQIA+ issues in our industry.
“The digital media and marketing community has a huge role to play in making our industry completely LGBTQIA+ inclusive, so I’m thrilled that Outvertising’s partnership with NDA is continuing,” said Chris Dunne, Joint Chief Executive, Outvertising.
“We can mobilise our industry’s leaders to demonstrate stronger active allyship of the LGBTQIA+ community – by creating more queer-inclusive workplaces, driving greater representation of LGBTQIA+ folk in creative work, and doing more to reduce ad spend that supports harmful, homophobic and transphobic content. We have much to do, but the NDA team’s own active allyship and appetite for change gives me much cause to be optimistic.”
NDA’s annual Media Pride lunch, supported by Boots and Publicis takes place on Thursday 26 September.
The event, hosted by New Digital Age and supported by Boots and Publicis, brings together an influential group of speakers, including Laura Jordan Bambach, past D&AD President, co-founder of SheSays and OKO, and most recently President and Chief Creative Officer at Uncharted; Jerry Daykin, WFA Diversity Ambassador; Marty Davies, Cultural strategist, activist, Campaign columnist and founder of Trans+ History Week; and Outvertising Communications Co-Director Sonnie Spenser.
