Reach plc, the home of established national and regional news and entertainment brands including Mirror, Express, Wales Online and Curiously, has completed its agency roadshow alongside Mantis, its contextual targeting solution.
Focusing on 2025’s football mania, Mantis and Reach visited WPP to ‘reach’ out across its network with a series of fun, football-related activations to bring the contextual targeting offering to life.
Created to improve not just targeting but brand safety as well as scale client campaigns from local to global, Mantis (in association with New Digital Age) was able to demonstrate how it can help agencies make the most of 2026’s World Cup opportunity.
The World Cup-themed day was filled with snacks, football challenges, prizes and more. The sweet cart came with health snack bars as well as football-shaped cookies – got to be mindful of an athlete’s training diet! That all helped when it came to the competitive football game where the winner of each round had their name put into pot to win a hamper. Participants even got the chance to share their details in exchange for the chance of winning a hotel stay.
Agency members even got to put their targeting skills off the ball to the test where they took part in the Build the Perfect Segment game. They put their contextual skills to the test by building the most relevant audience segment around key upcoming sporting moments, mimicking how Mantis helps clients refine their campaigns.
Congratulations to the prizewinners and perhaps we’ll see you all on the podium again next year!
