Talent Tracker: WPP, Oliver, Incubeta, Fuse, and more

WPP has named Cindy Rose as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2025. She succeeds Mark Read, who will step down on the same date. Rose has spent the last nine years in senior leadership positions at Microsoft, where she is currently Chief Operating Officer, Global Enterprise. In this role, she helps the world’s largest companies use digital technology and AI to drive business transformation. Before being appointed to her current Microsoft role in March 2023, she was President of Microsoft Western Europe and CEO of Microsoft UK. Other previous roles include Managing Director of the UK consumer business at Vodafone and Executive Director of Digital Entertainment and Media Sales at Virgin Media. She also spent 15 years at The Walt Disney Company, ultimately as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Disney Interactive Media Group, EMEA. Rose has been a Non-Executive Director on the WPP Board since 2019.

Angela Tangas has been appointed the new Global CEO of Oliver, The Brandtech Group’s in-housing agency. The former Dentsu UK Group CEO will also serve as Brandtech’s first Chief Strategy Officer. The appointment comes as Oliver founder and Global CEO Simon Martin moves into a new role as Chair of the company. As Brandtech’s Chief Strategy Officer, Tangas’ focus will be on accelerating the Group’s position in Gen AI. She served at Dentsu for seven years, latterly as UK & Ireland Group CEO, and prior to that held several executive and senior leadership roles in digital marketing and product innovation. She is also on the board of FareShare UK, a national network of charitable food redistributors. Alongside Tangas’ appointment, Brandtech Partners Emma Cookson and Daniel Floyd have been promoted into the newly created Joint Chief Client Officer roles, reporting into Founder & CEO David Jones. They will be focused on helping Brandtech’s top 40 clients transition to AI-first marketing and llooking at helping them deliver scaled Gen AI solutions.

Incubeta UK has announced a wave of senior hires. Miltos Lazarides joins as Executive Client Partner, operating at C-suite and Board Level with Incubeta’s largest clients to ensure their marketing strategies are directly aligned with their commercial objectives. Lazarides is a former VP, Managing Partner at Dentsu B2B and Merkle B2B. His career also spans senior roles at Havas and Ogilvy. Gabriella Cohen and Peter Mayall join as Client Directors, overseeing strategic direction and delivery for key accounts. They will be responsible for ensuring clients’ business goals are met through Incubeta’s execution team. Cohen is a former Client Services Director at Tug Agency in London. She also spent four years in Sydney, Australia, at Wellcome Worldwide, GDR Group, and Woolworths Group. Mayall joins from Mindshare where he was Paid Search Director. He previously worked at Jellyfish and, before that, at Dixons Carphone and The Plum Group. Gary King has been appointed Head of Display & Video, to drive the agency’s programmatic and video strategy — with a focus on full-funnel impact and media efficiency. He was previously Executive Director Performance, EMEA at OMD and has held senior roles at Media Plus and RAPP after starting his career at Agenda 21. Ryan Delf steps in as Head of Social, responsible for spearheading the agency’s social proposition. He joins from Spark Foundry, where he was Business Director. He has also worked at Mindshare, Assembly Global, and Dentsu. Finally, Nisha Faulkner has rejoined Incubeta as Senior Commercial Lead, responsible for driving Incubeta’s Marketing Intelligence proposition, using her recent experience at Amazon Web Services and Contentsquare to support investment conversations with customers. She is leading new business strategy and growth initiatives and overseeing multi-channel solution design for key clients. She previously spent nearly six years at Incubeta. 

Fuse, an Omnicom Media Group-owned sport and entertainment agency, has announced a trio of promotions. Luke Bliss has been promoted to Managing Partner, PR & Creative, James Tollington to Managing Partner, Client, and Charlotte Jacques to Managing Partner, Events & Live Experiences. Previously Head of PR, Bliss has been at Fuse since 2017, in which time he has helped to grow the agency’s PR division to support clients across their sport and entertainment sponsorships, including Google’s partnerships with Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC, Vodafone’s rugby, tennis, and music partnerships, and Panini’s football collections, among others. He has been given the expanded remit to unify and lead the agency’s creative capabilities into 2026. Tollington will be focused on deliver consultancy across Fuse’s largest international clients, as well as driving client growth and new business. In his over 15 years at the agency, he has led accounts including Vodafone, Google Pixel, Nissan, and Santander, and helped his clients negotiate sports partnerships, including Vodafone’s deals with the Welsh Rugby Union, Scottish Rugby, and Wimbledon. Jacques will oversee the strategic growth and execution of Fuse’s live event and experiential offerings. With 14 years of experience in the sports and major events industry, she has worked for local organising committees, specialist event and hospitality agencies, and worked with numerous governing bodies such as UEFA, FIFA, IOC, and the ICC. At Fuse, Jacques has delivered brand experiences for clients including HTC, Carlsberg, UniCredit, Nissan, PepsiCo, Enterprise, Santander, and Just Eat Takeaway.com. The new Managing Partners will report into Louise Johnson, Global CEO of Fuse.

Integrated creative agency IMA, has welcomed a new Creative Director, Orlaith Conlon, to its team. The appointment follows the promotion of Ben Ducker to Executive Creative Director and the launch of IMA’s new proposition, centred on a revitalised mission: Creating connections people buy. Joining IMA from McCann Manchester, Conlan brings nearly a decade of experience working on campaigns and social-first ideas for brands including McCain, Santander, Aldi Ireland, Smyths Toys, and Matalan. Her role will involve leading creative briefs and adding her expertise to the clients IMA manages for bespoke creative services.

Independent marketing agency Open Partners has appointed two new directors. Ed Chandler, previously of IMA,joins as Creative Director, where he’ll lead the agency’s creative team and their growing multi-disciplinary offering. Angie Elsey, previously Mindshare and Dentsu, joins as Growth Director to lead a new marketing team and spearhead the agency’s wider growth strategy.

Ad Signal, a UK-based SaaS provider of content intelligence for the media and entertainment industry, has appointed Nick Pearce as its new Chief Revenue Officer. He will focus on building out a global channel and technical partner network, strengthening ecosystem integrations and aligning sales and marketing to support expansion across Europe and the US. Pearce, who began his career at AT&T Bells Labs, joins Ad Signal with more than two decades of experience in media technology and commercial strategy. He previously co-founded Object Matrix, an object storage platform focused on the media and entertainment sector, where he helped grow the business from three customers in 2006 to more than 115 before its acquisition in 2023.

Sonic experience agency 86Tales has appointed Maxence Janvrin as Creative Director France. Janvrin, also known by his stage name Eole, is a garage artist and composer, and has produced music for brands such as Foot Locker, Gucci, and Rochas.
