Amy Green joins Charlie Oscar as Global Head of Growth

Independent agency Charlie Oscar has hired Amy Green as Global Head of Growth amid an accelerated period of international expansion.

Green was previously Co-Founder and Head of Growth at Block Report and has also led new business at Iris as its Growth Director, with much of the past decade spent working extensively across North America. She brings to the role extensive experience of building socially-led agency models and scaling client partnerships.

At Charlie Oscar, Green will oversee new business development, strategic partnerships, and international client growth, with a particular focus on building out the agency’s US presence and evolving its global offering.

HubSpot appoints Crevan O’Malley to lead EMEA operations

CRM and customer platform company HubSpot has appointed Crevan O’Malley as Managing Director and Vice President, Upmarket Sales, EMEA.

Based at the company’s Dublin headquarters, O’Malley will oversee HubSpot’s EMEA business and lead efforts to expand its presence among larger organisations. His responsibilities include aligning regional sales, operations and partner teams, supporting customer AI adoption and driving growth across the region.

O’Malley joined HubSpot in 2019 and most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Sales, EMEA. He succeeds into a broader regional leadership role after previously leading the company’s corporate sales operations.

Whisper names Derek Scobie as first US General Manager of Sales

Production company Whisper has appointed Derek Scobie as General Manager of Sales in the US.

Based in California, Scobie will be responsible for expanding Whisper’s North American commercial operations, overseeing revenue generation and monetisation strategies across its sports and entertainment portfolio. He will also work on developing partnerships with media companies, rights holders, streaming platforms and brands.

Scobie joins from Google and YouTube, where he spent 15 years in a variety of commercial leadership roles focused on content monetisation, connected TV and creator economy initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Procter & Gamble and Unilever.

SomeBrightSpark adopts partner-led structure with senior appointments

Leicester-based agency SomeBrightSpark has appointed George Guildford as Partner and Executive Creative Director as part of a move to a broader partner-led leadership structure.

Guildford will oversee the agency’s creative output and lead the expansion of its creative production, film and social-first services. He joins from Moshi, where he led creative teams across campaigns, documentaries, live events and social content. Prior to that, he spent 14 years building and scaling a social-first creative agency, working with brands including Sony, Apple, John Lewis and Dior.

The agency has also promoted Ellie Anderson to Partner. Anderson joined SomeBrightSpark in 2012 as a producer following a stint at the BBC and currently serves as Client Services Director. In her expanded role, she will help shape the agency’s strategic direction alongside the wider leadership team while continuing to oversee client services.

Uber Advertising appoints Elton Ollerhead as Head of EMEA Sales

Uber Advertising has appointed Elton Ollerhead as Head of EMEA Sales.

Ollerhead will lead the company’s advertising operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing its portfolio of advertising products across Uber and Uber Eats. He will also manage relationships with agencies, advertisers and technology partners while leading regional commercial and programmatic teams.

He joins from ASOS Media Group, where he served as Director. Previous roles include senior positions at Amazon Ads, Tesco Media/dunnhumby and Sky Media. His remit includes driving growth across key advertising categories and expanding Uber Advertising’s presence in the EMEA market.
