Journey Further appoints Katie Duance as Marketing Director
Journey Further has announced the appointment of Katie Duance as Marketing Director. Duance joins the agency’s Growth function, based out of its Leeds office.
Duane brings close to 20 years’ experience working in marketing and communications across global organisations and agencies, ranging from marketing to the professional services sectors. Her previous roles included a Marketing Director position at IDHL and a seven-year tenure at dentsu, where she spent three years as UK Marketing Director.
In her role at Journey Further, Duane is set to provide senior support and guidance to the agency’s marketing function, spanning digital, client and content marketing as well as global events, PR and awards programmes.
St Luke’s completes senior leadership team with Rich Denney and Anastasia Terzeon promotions
Independent creative agency St Luke’s has completed its senior leadership team line-up with Rich Denney assuming sole creative leadership as Chief Creative Officer and Anastasia Terzeon taking up the role of Managing Director, joining Chief Strategy Officer Dan Hulse and Head of Transformation and Apostle Entertainment Managing Director Leanne Silman on St Luke’s senior leadership team.
Denney joined St Luke’s in 2017, becoming Joint Chief Creative Officer in 2024, and now assumes sole responsibility for the agency’s creative leadership. Prior to his time at St Luke’s, Denney was Executive Creative Director at MullenLowe London, where he spent just shy of six years. He has also held senior creative roles at DDB London and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising.
Terzeon, previously Managing Partner, has been promoted to Managing Director. She joined St Luke’s six years ago from Y&R, having previously worked at The & Partnership. She began her career client-side, leading behaviour change campaigns for national charity Drinkaware, where she held the role of Marketing Manager. She was also Editorial Coordinator at Tatler Magazine.
NewGen makes strategic hires across London and New York alongside Nordic expansion
Social-first creator agency NewGen has announced a significant expansion across its creative, accounts and US talent divisions, alongside its launch into the Nordics with the appointment of its first regional lead.
In the realm of senior leadership, Ian Millner has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman, while Pete Edwards has also been appointed as Non-Executive Director of NewGen. On the creative and production side of the business, Dani Greenwald has joined in the role of Creative Director.
NewGen’s US Talent division has also grown with the appointments of Joowon Lee as Associate Talent Director and Mark Sharman as Senior Talent Manager to its New York office. NewGen has also appointed Kimie Riis Frengler as Nordic Lead in Copenhagen, furthering its international growth.
Within AI and innovation, Tim Edwards has joined as AI Product Manager to support NewGen’s AI and Innovation team. NewGen has also made a number of hires across its accounts and social team, which has grown by 28%.
PubMatic appoints Megan Ramm as Global Chief Revenue Officer
AI-powered adtech company PubMatic has announced the appointment of Megan Ramm as Global Chief Revenue Officer. Based in New York, Ramm will lead PubMatic’s global revenue strategy and execution across publisher and buyer teams in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
Ramm joins PubMatic from Uber Advertising, where she served as Head of Global Sales, leading the multi-billion-dollar sales organization responsible for building and expanding relationships with many of the world’s leading brands and agencies. Previously, she was an early sales leader at Snap, spent six years at Google on search and programmatic sales, and began her media career at Forbes and Reuters.
In her new role, Ramm will focus on expanding the company’s position across performance advertising, connected TV, mobile app and agentic advertising, while deepening the company’s relationships with brands, agencies, DSPs and publishers.
Vanta promotes Sara Scharf to Chief Marketing Officer
Compliance management platform Vanta has appointed Sarah Scharf to the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
Joining the executive team and reporting directly to CEO Christina Cacioppo, Scharf will oversee the entire marketing organisation, including product marketing, brand, communications, content, growth, and revenue marketing.
Scharf joined Vanta in 2020 as its first product marketer and has since led every function within Vanta marketing. During her tenure, she has led the company’s positioning through three category shifts, from automated compliance, to trust management, to agentic trust.
Prior to her time at Vanta, Scharf spent seven years at Google in product marketing roles across Account Settings, Next Billion Users, and the Platforms team supporting Android and Google Play. She also previously worked at Net Power & Light as a Product Marketing Manager, where she was responsible for the launch of video chat app Spin, and worked in Strategy & Operations at Deloitte Consulting.
Slipstream Music makes senior appointments across Europe and North America
Production music licensing platform Slipstream Music has announced two senior appointments across its commercial and licensing teams. Alex Mearns has joined as Senior Director, U.K. Partnerships, working with brands, agencies, and content teams across the U.K. and Europe, while Jack London joins as Director, Enterprise Sales, based in the U.S., focusing on direct relationships with brands and companies licensing music for their digital & social content.
Mearns joins after seven years at Universal Production Music, where he led partnership strategy and client activations with organisations including FIFA, Amazon Studios, Netflix, Warner Bros. Discovery, Banijay, the Premier League and the BBC.
London joins from Artlist, where he was among the first hires in the company’s New York office and helped drive its expansion in the U.S. market, working with enterprise brands, agencies and media companies on music licensing and creative solutions. In addition to the new joiners, Joanna Gregory has been promoted to Vice President, Strategy & Operations at Cavendish, which was acquired by Slipstream in 2024, and is reporting to JD Adams, Global Managing Director of Slipstream Music.
BCS Consultancy appoints Steve Sutherland as Head of Digital, AI & Data Strategy
Global data centre consultancy BCS Consultancy has announced the appointment of Steve Sutherland as its first Head of Digital, AI and Data Strategy.
Sutherland joins BCS with close to two decades of experience that span market research and financial technology. He began his career in market research as a Senior Programmer for Research Now and then a survey programming developer at 2CV, later moving into fintech with roles at PayPal, TrueLayer and, most recently, Brite Payments.
As Head of Digital, AI and Data Strategy, Sutherland will lead the company’s internal digital and data transformation, identifying opportunities to apply AI across the business.
We Are Social appoints Aidan Goh as Head of Paid Media, EMEA
Global socially-led creative agency We Are Social has appointed Aidan Goh as its first Head of Paid Media, EMEA.
Bringing 12 years of experience to We Are Social, Goh has spent the majority of his career at Omnicom and Mindshare leading multinational teams for global brands. He spent seven years at OMD working with clients such as Disney and Lidl; in his most recent role at Zenith, he was Global Head of Paid Digital across H&M.
He also held the role of Senior Social Account Executive at Mindshare, part of WPP Media.
Head of Paid Media, EMEA is a new role for We Are Social that follows the agency’s shift to a regional structure in 2025 under the leadership of EMEA CEO Jim Coleman. Goh will report in to Paul Greenwood, EMEA head of cultural strategy and insight.
