Havas appoints Raphaël de Andréis to newly-created Chief Strategy Officer role

Raphaël de Andréis has been appointed to the role of Chief Strategy Officer for Havas in addition to his responsibilities as CEO Western Europe in a bid to further strengthen the Group’s strategic focus and drive greater value creation for clients across the organisation.

de Andréis began his career at TBWA before joining the Group in 1996 at BETC, where he became President in 2007. He later joined Canal+ as Executive Vice President before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Havas Media Network France and President of Havas Productions in 2013.

In his new role, de Andréis will ensure strategic consistency across the organisation while accelerating collaboration between networks and disciplines. Reporting directly to Yannick Bolloré, Havas’ Chairman & CEO, and working closely with leaders of the Creative, Media, Health, and Content at Scale networks, de Andréis is set to play a major part in shaping global strategy, guiding the organisation’s brand portfolio roadmap, and accelerating alignment across the Havas Villages.

Tom Fenwick-Smith joins SocialChain as Executive Creative Director

Integrated social agency SocialChain has appointed Tom Fenwick-Smith to the role of Executive Creative Director.

In his new role, Fenwick-Smith will lead the creative department across SocialChain and its sister agency Engage Digital Partners, reporting into SocialChain’s CEO, Jacinta Faul. His remit will focus on the agency’s creative ambition, developing talent and creating work that garners attention across culture, communities and platforms.

Fenwick-Smith joins from VodafoneThree, where he was Senior Conceptual Creative and Strategy Social Lead. He has also held senior creative roles at Jack Morton Worldwide, REWIND, and POKE, and worked with a range of clients in creative direction, strategy and consultation roles as part of Legitimate Animal.

Mediaworks appoints Michael Sherwood as Chief Customer Officer

Integrated agency Mediaworks has appointed Michael Sherwood to the role of Chief Customer Officer, further strengthening its senior leadership team. 

Michael joins from Worldpay, where he was Director of Onboarding, and brings more than 25 years’ experience across customer, digital, operations and organisational leadership, including senior roles at Atom bank, Virgin Money, Tesco Bank, BGL Group and Orange. 

As Chief Customer Officer, Sherwood will be responsible for strengthening how clients collaborate with Mediaworks. His role will focus on building even stronger agency relationships, creating more consistency across the client experience and ensuring Mediaworks’ work is aligned to the commercial priorities of the organisations it supports.

Onclusive announces Peter Harris as new CEO

Media intelligence and analysis specialist Onclusive has announced the appointment of Peter Harris as new CEO, following the resignation of former CEO Rob Stone, who will be moving onto the Board alongside owners STG.

Harris joins from CRM software provider Pipedrive, where he has worked since 2021, initially joining as Chief Operating Officer before rising to the role of President. Prior to Pipedrive, Harris also more than three years at Intuit and more than a decade at Deloitte in various roles.

At Intuit, as Global Head of Business Development, he led partnerships and business development, while at Deloitte, he established and managed the company’s first investment vehicle in the UK whilst also building its product launch in the UK market, Propel by Deloitte. 

Aberfield Communications welcomes new PR Consultant

Leeds-based PR and brand marketing agency Aberfield Communications has welcomed Emily Mukherjee to the team as its newest PR consultant.

Mukherjee joins the agency from Yorkshire Food Guide, where she worked across platforms to promote Yorkshire hospitality businesses as its Digital Marketing Executive. Her role also included event co-ordination, assisting in the organisation and execution of Yorkshire Food Guide’s debut Michelin-Starred Charity Dinner at Rudding Park, in aid of Leeds based children’ charity Candlelighters.

Mukherjee also volunteered in multiple roles at Sheffield Students’ Union whilst a student at the university, beginning as Event Coordinator for Raising and Giving before being elected to the role of President of Raising and Giving. She joins as the twelfth team member at Aberfield Communications.

Nest Commerce appoints Gisela Benini as Head of Paid Social

Technology-led performance and creative agency Nest Commerce has added Gisela Benini to its team as Head of Paid Social.

Benini joins from Genie Goals, where she was Client Strategy Director. Benini has spent her career in paid social and marketing strategy roles, building and scaling campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit, most recently at Genie Goals and, prior to this, at Push Group. She also held the role of Social Media & Community Relations Specialist at WeAreLATech.fm and subsequently at the Women in Tech Show.

At Nest Commerce, Benini will lead a team of paid social specialists, taking responsibility for channel strategy, creative testing and the performance of the agency’s paid social clients.
