Adobe has announced the appointment of Lara Balazs as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Global Marketing. Reporting directly to CEO Shantanu Narayen, Balazs will lead the Global Marketing Organisation across the Adobe business. Balazs previously served as CMO and General Manager, Strategic Partner Group at Intuit. Her marketing career spans key leadership roles at brands such as Amazon, Visa, and Nike.
Adtech platform TripleLift has announced the hires of two new executives within its C-suite. Meredith Brace will serve as Chief Marketing Officer and Majorie Ajero in the newly-created role of Chief Human Resources Officer. Reporting directly into the Office of the CEO, Brace is responsible for overseeing TripleLift’s presence in the adtech marketplace showcasing the company’s expertise in retail media, CTV, and creative technology. She joins from XR Extreme Reach, where she served as CMO. Prior to that, Brace was CMO at Samba TV. She has also held senior positions at companies including Fox Networks, true[X], and Microsoft. Ajero is responsible for leading the company’s HR and workplace planning and operations. Ajero joins TripleLift from MA People Partners, a company she founded. She has also previously held HR leadership roles at companies including Feedback Loop, Bettercloud, and Group Nine Media.
Digital agency Dept has appointed David Neal as its new Global Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Neal will bring together the global finance and operations team, positioning finance as a strategic partner to the business. He is also tasked with harnessing the potential of AI to transform financial processes. Most recently, he served as Global CFO for Dentsu Creative and Dentsu’s production unit, Tag.
Adtech startup Bedrock Platform has brought in Austin Scott as Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founding Partner. Scott will develop new and existing revenue streams for the newly launched platform, while her Co-founding Partner responsibilities will see her play a key part in defining and delivering a future-looking strategy for the company. Scott joins Bedrock from Microsoft, where she was Director of Partner Sales for the programmatic advertising platform Monetize, following Microsoft’s acquisition of Xandr. At Xandr, she headed up video market development across EMEA. Prior to that, she held roles at Stickyads.tv and then Freewheel, following the former’s acquisition by Comcast.
The Marketing Practice, a B2B marketing agency, has appointed James Clifton as Chief Executive Officer. Clifton will oversee operations and be responsible for strengthening The Marketing Practice’s client base and growth strategy globally. He created Balloon Dog in 2008, which was acquired by Mission in 2012 and is now part of Krow Communications. Clifton was named Chief Executive of Mission Group in 2019, a role he left to join The Marketing Practice.
Jamie Posnanski has been appointed CEO at independent media and creative advisor MediaSense. Posnanski is the successor to Co-founder and current CEO Graham Brown, who becomes Executive Chairman. Posnanski founded digital agency avVenta, which was acquired by Accenture Interactive (now Song) in 2012. He became a Senior Executive at Accenture. Posnanski is tasked with building on MediaSense’s recent acquisitions and cementing the business as a leader in media operations.
