Kwik Fit has launched its latest campaign by its agency of record VCCP, ‘Road Happy.’ The digital out-of-home campaign uses Ocean Outdoor’s vehicle react technology to anonymously scan cars as they are stuck in queues at traffic lights, serving drivers with a joke according to the make, class, colour or fuel type of their vehicle. The ads conclude with the message: ‘Happy drivers are safer drivers.’ The campaign has gone live at six roadside locations across London (Holland Park Roundabout and Gypsy Corner); Birmingham (Bullring South); Manchester (Princess Road); Newcastle (The Screen on the Tyne); and Southampton (The Screen on West Quay). It will play out until each location hits 6,000 play outs.

Independent media agency The Kite Factory has launched Ascend, a new growth consultancy designed to help brands overcome marketing complexity and unlock sustainable growth. The consultancy is led by Managing Partner Helen Radia and Head of Insight Charley Day, both of whom held senior marketing roles at WaterAid and Crisis before joining The Kite Factory. Ascend has already worked with brands including Barnardo’s, Maggie’s and, most recently, NatWest Cushon.

Cadbury is championing some of the biggest names in women’s football in a new multichannel campaign called ‘Game Changing Wins,’ develop with Elvis, MKTG, and Publicis Media. A series of documentary-style hero films, directed by Emily McDonald at Untold Studios, tells the stories of four female players from the UK and Ireland including England captain Leah Williamson, Jill Scott, Lauren James, and Katie McCabe. As part of the campaign, people will have the chance to win face-to-face meetings with the players, as well as a signed shift, hotel stay, and travel to share with three of their friends of family. There will also be daily prizes such as football match tickets and vouchers. The campaign is running across social, out-of-home, radio, digital, shopper marketing, and PR channels in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Esports club Team Vitality has launched RushBee, a marketing agency designed to deliver “high-impact, culturally relevant campaigns.” The agency will focus on creating social-first brand experiences to help brands to reach audiences across traditional and media industries. RushBee’s four key pillars are: brand strategy, creative factory, growth media, and experiential. It will be led by François-Xavier Roux, who brings experience from stints at M6 Music, Paramount Media Networks, and Endemol.

United Carpets and Beds has appointed McCann Leeds as its official media buying and planning agency. The agency will deliver both online and offline media campaigns as part of the brand’s revamped marketing strategy.

Electrical component manufacturer TE Connectivity’s Global Automotive division has appointed integrated B2B tech marketing firm Fox Agency as its global agency of record. Fox Agency will lead on global brand and campaign strategy and execution, working in close partnership with the TE Auto global and regional marketing and communications teams to elevate brand awareness and perception amongst global, regional and emerging OEMs and the evolving automotive supply-chain.
