R/GA London announced that Nicole Armstrong has re-joined the agency to lead its strategy department, as the agency’s new Executive Strategy Director. In her new role, Nicole will be responsible for building a department of diverse talent, and shaping the agency’s strategic thinking to help further drive transformational, human-centric design led work for its clients. Armstrong joins R/GA from luxury shoe label Nicholas Kirkwood, where she held the role of CMO, having previously spent just under four years at R/GA London as Group Strategy Director. She will report to Rebecca Bezzina, SVP Managing Director, R/GA London.
The Trade Desk announced the appointment of Phil Duffield as Vice President of the UK. Duffield joins The Trade Desk from Adobe, where he held the role of Managing Director, leading the Ad Cloud business for Adobe across EMEA. Previous roles include AOL International’s Head of Advertising and Adap.tv’s International Senior Vice President. He has also consulted for the successful start-up Samba TV in California.
PubMatic has appointed Hitesh Bhatt and Jaidev Kakar to Lead Connected TV Solutions in EMEA. The sell-side platform hired the former Samba TV executive and former CTV leader at Omnicom to join its EMEA leadership.
DoubleVerify (“DV”), the independent provider of digital media measurement software and analytics, announced the appointment of Julie Eddleman as EVP, Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). As CCO, Eddleman will lead the company’s sales and client service organizations worldwide. She will report to Mark Zagorski, CEO of DoubleVerify. Eddleman was most recently Global Client Partner at Google, where she spearheaded global partnership and growth strategy for some of the company’s largest clients.
Social media agency, Battenhall, has announced the appointment of Anton Perreau as the company’s new U.S. senior vice president. Perreau has been appointed to lead Battenhall’s growing U.S. team from the West Coast, building on the New York office that was set up in 2019. Based in Los Angeles, and acting as a member of the Global Leadership Team at Battenhall, Perreau will focus on driving growth across Battenhall’s East Coast and West Coast teams, and leading the consultancy’s growing roster of clients in North America.

C Space, the global customer agency announced that Jessica DeVlieger will become its new Global Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1st, 2021. Currently the President of C Space’s North American business, DeVlieger succeeds Charles Trevail, who will continue to lead Omnicom’s (NYSE: OMC) Interbrand Group, around the world.
Mobile technology company, Upstream, has appointed Fernando Bortman as its new Chief Business Officer. He will be responsible for driving Upstream’s global revenue growth and business acceleration as it expands into new territories and markets. Prior to his new role at Upstream, Bortman served as VP Sales and General Manager Americas, for cyber intelligence solutions company, Verint.
