The Future of Media, now one of Europe’s fastest-growing gathering points for senior media decision-makers, is expanding its footprint this autumn with debut editions in Toronto and Paris, alongside its established London and Manchester events.
Toronto Debut Set for September 29
The franchise will land in Canada for the first time next month, with The Future of Media Canada bringing its proven format to around 150 senior leaders from agencies, brands and media owners at The Carlu in Toronto on 29 September.
The one-morning event will focus on the decisions shaping Canada’s media landscape, including the Canadian market and the global/local budget split, media effectiveness under financial scrutiny, AI, search and zero-click advertising, performance beyond the major platforms, the role of creators in the media plan, and the future of agencies.
Dentsu, WPP Media, Omnicom Media, Publicis and Horizon Media have been confirmed as founding partners, and will speak at the event as well as bring staff and clients. They will be joined by partners Commb, CMDC and The Globe and Mail, and sponsors AudienceProject, Numeris and Vistar Media, with further announcements expected shortly.
Paris to Host First Edition in November
The format will also launch in France this November, with an expected 700 attendees and more than 50 speakers gathering at the Pathé Palace. The Paris edition will explore omnichannel and cross-media strategy across retail media, audio, digital and traditional out-of-home advertising, video, social and publishing.
London Returns to Kings Place
In the UK, The Future of Media has grown into a gathering of more than a thousand industry professionals. The London edition returns to Kings Place on 3-4 November, with speakers already confirmed from Omnicom Media, PMG, WPP Media, dentsu and Goodstuff. Discussions will cover the issues shaping the UK market, from agency transformation to how media owners demonstrate their value to brands.
Manchester Edition Draws 600+ to RNCM
Meanwhile, the Manchester event has established itself as the UK’s leading gathering dedicated to the strategy, craft, effectiveness and business of media. More than 600 people are expected at the Royal Northern College of Music on 17 September, where speakers from WPP Media, Wavemaker, McCann and Santander will debate whether AI is making planners better or simply faster, and what it takes to convert media investment into real business growth.
