EXTE welcomes Doherty to lead its North America business

Ad tech platform EXTE has appointed industry veteran Matthew Doherty as its Chief Executive Officer for North America. The appointment is part of the business’ continued international expansion, with EXTE now having a presence in 15 countries around the world.

Doherty, who joins from Teads, has taken up responsibility for the company’s commercial, strategic, and organisational strategy in North America. He spent almost six years at Teads – first as Vice President, Sales before his promotion to Senior Vice President, Sales.

“I am thrilled to be joining EXTE as CEO of North America and to bring to life innovative media solutions and a unique approach to the creative landscape that is unmatched in this market. With a focus on leveraging proprietary generative AI and predictive, outcome-based optimisation across all ad formats and channels, I am certain EXTE is poised to dramatically impact the US and Canadian markets with unique advertiser solutions that will truly redefine the digital landscape,” said Doherty.

Over his more than 16 years in the industry, Doherty has held commercial leadership positions at the likes of Adobe and TubeMogul, where he was responsible for developing and scaling multimillion dollar businesses. He also founded and launched several companies including Alchemy Media Partners and the non-profit Silicon Alley Foundation.

“We have a new and ambitious project and need a profile that matches our high expectations. Matthew Doherty is undoubtedly an expert in the sector. His extensive knowledge, network and leadership skills make him the ideal candidate for this position. We have every confidence that Matthew’s experience will be crucial in further solidifying our international growth,” said Fernando García, CEO of EXTE.
