LG Ad Solutions, the CTV and cross-screen advertising arm of electronics giant LG, has announced the appointment of Mike Evans as Senior Vice President, Head of US Sales. He brings more than two decades of experience in digital media and advertising technology, having held leadership roles at companies including Oracle, Xaxis, TURN, MediaMath, and IDG. Prior to joining LG Ad Solutions, he served as Senior Vice President of Demand Facilitation at Magnite, where he led the US demand team and helped drive key partnerships and revenue growth. In his new role, Evans will oversee the entire US sales organisation, including direct sales, client partnerships, and revenue strategy. He will report directly to Serge Matta, President of Global Ad Sales, and collaborate closely with leaders across marketing, product, and operations.
Digital marketing agency MRM has appointed Nick Handel to the role of Chief Executive Officer for MRM UK. His appointment comes after his nearly 15 years of service at McCann Worldgroup in Asia-Pacific, with his most recent position being Managing Director, MRM Asia Pacific. At MRM UK, Handel will be tasked with broadening the agency’s CRM and creative commerce capabilities. As President of McCann Worldgroup Southeast Asia, Handel led teams across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand, spanning four agencies: MRM, McCann, CRAFT, and Hedy. Prior to his almost a decade and a half at MRM, he served as Regional Director for Leo Burnett in Asia-Pacific. Before that, he held positions at CX Lavender in New Zealand and Saatchi & Saatchi in London.
MiQ, a programmatic media partner, has appointed Brian Whipple to its Global Statutory Board. Whipple was the longtime CEO of Accenture Interactive. During his over 11 years in charge of Accenture Interactive, he led the business to becoming worth $12 billion.
Sinead Coogan Jobes has joined IAB UK as its Head of Policy & Public Affairs, bringing experience from roles at Sky, Virgin Media, Deliveroo, and Hanover Communications. Most recently, she was Policy & External Affairs Director at News UK. At the IAB, Coogan Jobes is responsible for leading the industry body’s policy and public affairs work in what is an important year for the advertising industry as it prepares for the introduction of the ‘Less Healthy Food & Drink’ (LHF) ad ban on 1 October. Reporting to COO Jane McNeill, her priorities are to deepen the IAB’s engagement with government and MPs; consistently represent the views and value of the digital advertising industry to parliamentarians; and ensure that IAB members have a cohesive, strong and proactive voice when it comes to how digital advertising is regulated.
Digital transformation consultancy Daemon has strengthened its board with the promotion of Richard Newsome to Non-Executive Chairman. Working closely with Non-Executive Director Judith Batchelar and Board Advisor Heath Jackson, as well as Co-Founders Steve Bennett and Calum Fitzgerald, Newsome will continue to support Daemon’s business growth and work in the retail sector, while expanding its footprint into financial services and the public sector. Newsome has previously served as CTO of Sainsbury’s and Cancer Research.
Ad campaign platform Creatopy has appointed Maikao Grare as its new Chief Financial Officer. She will help accelerate the company’s momentum, shape long-term strategy, and support international expansion. Most recently, Grare served as Vice President of FP&A and Strategic Finance at MasterClass, where she partnered closely with executive leadership on planning, capital allocation, and business performance optimisation. She has also held finance roles at Picsart, Bolt Threads, Rdio, and Skype.
