Workplace messaging platform Workhuman® has appointed veteran technology marketing executive Tom Libretto as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), based at the company’s headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts. Libretto brings nearly 20 years of global marketing experience and has a successful record of leading large, diverse global teams that continuously deliver breakthrough marketing and business outcomes. Libretto  joins Workhuman from Pegasystems where he held the CMO role from 2016-2022. Workhuman is holding its inaugural Workhuman Live Europe event in Dublin, Ireland from 26-28 September. 

Interbrand has announced the promotion of Gonzalo Brujó to Global Chief Executive Officer. Brujó succeeds Charles Trevail, who will take on the role of Executive Chairman. Previously the Global President of Interbrand, an Omnicom Group company, Brujó steps into this leadership role with expansive experience and will be responsible for the overall direction, strategy and growth of the company around the world. He has advised many of the world’s best-known brands, including Axa, Huawei, Iberia, LATAM, Lenovo, Renault, Santander, Uber, and Volkswagen Group. Headquartered in New York, Interbrand Group also has offices in Boston, Cologne, London, Madrid, Milan, Mumbai, São Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney and Tokyo.

Global brand suitability and ad performance platform Channel Factory has appointed David Hinton as Chief Operating Officer. Hinton, a 20+ year industry veteran will be reporting to Tony Chen, CEO and founder at Channel Factory and will be based in Bellevue, Washington. Hinton has spent over 20 years in the digital advertising industry with both enterprises and venture-backed startups. At Channel Factory, he will lead global hyper-growth initiatives and efforts that continue accelerating the company’s efficiencies and scalability. His initial focus will be to partner closely with operational, marketing, and product/engineering teams in order to ensure proper resources are allocated. Channel Factory has offices across the USA and is present in over 30 countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom. 

ISBA has announced the appointment of Tom George as the first CEO of Origin, the UK cross media measurement programme. This new position reflects the importance of Origin and ISBA’s commitment to delivering a viable product by early 2025. Origin is ISBA’s programme to deliver accountable digital and cross media measurement. It is part of a global, advertiser led initiative backed by the World Federation of Advertisers. George is a senior business leader with over 25 years of strategic growth, transformation and leadership experience for major media and marketing groups. He currently runs Everclear Consulting, advising businesses on strategy, transformation and growth. Prior to this he was Chief Executive Officer at GroupM UK, the UK’s largest media agency group.

Fuse, Omnicom Media Group’s sport and entertainment agency, has strengthened its board by hiring Simon Bell as Managing Partner – Entertainment, and promoting James English to Managing Partner – Sport. Both Bell and English join Fuse’s board, alongside CEO Louise Johnson, Managing Director Sarah Kendall, CFO & COO, Monica Conway and Chief Strategy Officer, Alex Charkham. Bell and English will report to Managing Director Sarah Kendall. Bell brings more than 20 years of experience in brand and customer marketing for clients in their work across music, film, theatre, arts and culture and broader entertainment partnerships. He was most recently at Momentum Worldwide for 10 years, establishing and leading the agency’s UK and international work for American Express in entertainment, including the development and global expansion of American Express’s ‘Experiences’ proposition. Also announced is James English, who has been promoted to Managing Partner, Sport (previously Partner in the sport division) after joining the company in 2014 to help oversee the growth and development of client portfolios, such as Nissan, PepsiCo and Enterprise Rent-a-Car’s UEFA partnerships.

Anzu.io, the in-game advertising platform, has announced the appointment of Tom Simpson, former SVP APAC at AdColony, as its newest strategic advisor with a special focus on the Asia-Pacific Region. Simpson brings vital experience working with brands and game publishers across Asia-Pacific to connect gaming and marketing opportunities. He recently left mobile gaming in-app advertising platform AdColony, where he led the Asia-Pacific business, culminating in a sale to NASDAQ-giant Digital Turbine. Simpson also serves on the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) board in APAC.
