Hootsuite, the global leader in social media management, is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Digital Channels team, an extension of Digital Health & Innovations, in an effort to combat misinformation around global health crises. Through this initiative, Hootsuite is offering WHO pro bono services, digital tools and access to its on-demand Hootsuite Academy courses and certifications. Hootsuite is a member of the WHO Tech Taskforce, a collaboration of technology companies supporting WHO in its mission of advancing health innovation and equity and deploying critical information to global audiences. Bringing this effort to life, Hootsuite and WHO will apply key lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic to manage misinformation surrounding other global health crises, including monkeypox, the Ebola outbreak in Uganda, and more. Alongside members of the Tech Taskforce, the WHO Digital Channels team has built a network of influencers to create social media content that debunks misinformation surrounding health topics from immunisations to breast cancer.

Boots has partnered with RangeMe, the product discovery, sourcing and purchasing platform to expand the number of new and diverse suppliers it works with on a goods for resale basis both in-store and online. With over 200,000 suppliers already registered on the platform, Boots hopes that the RangeMe partnership will be a portal to working with the very best new and emerging brands. This will strengthen Boots’ commitment to working with a broad range of suppliers, including SMEs and diverse businesses, and to support a fair and equal chance to compete for opportunities.

Expel, the managed security provider that aims to make security easy to understand, use and improve, has announced that it has expanded to support the cybersecurity needs of customers in EMEA, and is now operating in the United Kingdom (UK), Ireland, Sweden and the Netherlands. Expel hired cybersecurity industry veteran Chris Waynforth as the general manager and vice president of international business. Waynforth is responsible for growing Expel’s presence in EMEA, supporting customers, and building relationships with EMEA channel partners.

Data solutions expert, Sagacity Solutions Ltd., has announced its acquisition of award-winning data marketing and insight agency, REaD Group Ltd. The acquisition will give clients a one-stop-shop for clean, accurate and compliant data with market-leading comprehensive insights. Sagacity will provide an intelligently informed customer lifecycle proposition which starts from customer prospecting and marketing to customer management, billing, collections and retention over the lifetime of the customer and beyond.

MediaCom UK has launched its first-ever retail media eCom Innovation Slam event series in a bid to arm clients ahead of the busiest commerce season and beyond into 2023. Visa is partnering with Thunes to help individuals and small businesses move money internationally to 78 digital wallet providers, reaching 1.5 billion digital wallets across 44 countries and territories. This partnership will now expand Visa Direct’s reach to nearly 7 billion endpoints, including more than 3 billion cards, over 2 billion accounts and 1.5 billion digital wallets. Through this collaboration, Thunes’ B2B payments platform will connect to Visa Direct, adding a cross-border send-to-wallet capability to 78 digital wallet providers that are already integrated with Thunes. Through a simple integration of Visa Direct, financial institutions, governments, neobanks and money transfer operators will be able to utilize the new functionality to enable consumers and small businesses to send funds to markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America where wallets may be the go-to payment method.
