Criteo, a global platform connecting the commerce ecosystem, has announced it is the first advertising technology partner integrating with OpenAI’s advertising pilot in ChatGPT Free and Go versions in the United States. Aggregated insights observed across Criteo’s U.S. clients show that users referred from LLM platforms like ChatGPT convert at approximately one and half times the rate of other referral channels, reinforcing the high-intent nature of these AI experiences. As conversational discovery grows, this pilot represents an opportunity to thoughtfully evaluate how brands can participate in advertising within ChatGPT while also driving incremental demand back to retailer and brand destinations. The integration will begin rolling out in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing advertising pilot in ChatGPT.
The global standards organization behind the tech that allows billions of people worldwide to access their online accounts is calling for coordinated action to solve a problem affecting every internet user: what happens to digital accounts when people die. The OpenID Foundation (OIDF) has released a report proposing a framework for coordinated action across governments, technology providers, and standards bodies to manage digital estates. The Unfinished Digital Estate, is the first comprehensive examination of systemic gaps across platforms, jurisdictions, and industries. The report finds that while email accounts, cryptocurrency, cloud photo libraries, social media profiles, and connected devices routinely outlive their owners, no consistent global standards exist to ensure they are both accessible and protected after the account owner does. The report draws on legal analysis, technical evaluation, and cultural practices across multiple countries.
