Spotify brings live event offering to the UK, Budweiser first partner

Spotify is expanding Spotify AUX and Live Experiences to the UK, offering brands the chance to reach the streaming platform’s wide range of audiences through live events. Budweiser is the first partner, following in the footsteps of brands such as FanDuel and Samsung in the US.

The live event formats available to brands include:

  • Spotify Culture Amplified Events– custom events tied to Spotify playlist franchises such as Fresh Finds or Equal, as well as seasonal or cultural moments.
  • Spotify Original Music Events– Spotify-owned and pre-existing music events such as its Best New Artist Party ahead of the Grammys.
  • Spotify x The Ringer Podcast Events– The Ringer-owned and pre-existing podcast live recordings.

“Spotify is committed to deepening the connections between artists, brands, and fans. Since launching AUX Live Experiences in the US earlier this year, we’ve seen that our branded live events aren’t just concerts and talking heads; they’re cultural moments that get people talking and deliver results for advertisers,” said Ed Couchman, Head of UK & Northern Europe Sales at Spotify.

“That’s why I’m thrilled to share that AUX Live Experiences is now available as a new offering in the UK. With Budweiser as our first partner, I’m excited to bring to life our first AUX Live Experience in Manchester, offering local music fans an unforgettable experience.”

The first UK event, Spotify Presents: Music Depot Brought to You by Budweiser, takes place at Diecast in Manchester on Wednesday 11 December 2024. The free event is headlined by Blossoms, who’ll be supported by Good Neighbours and DJs Rowena Alice, Chaise, and Tinea Taylor. Alongside these performances, music fans can expect merch giveaways, flash tattoos and, of course, bottles of Budweiser.

“Music has always been a part of Budweiser’s DNA,” said Jessica McGeorge, Global Brands Director Europe at AB InBev at Budweiser UK. “From iconic moments in music history to our longstanding support of artists and live performances, we’ve always believed in the power of music to unite and inspire. Partnering with Spotify allows us to take this commitment even further, providing fans a chance to experience their favourite artists live while enjoying the smooth, refreshing Budweiser.”
