Former Britvic & Heineken CMO joins energy drink company Tenzing
Cindy Tervoort has joined energy drink brand Tenzing as its Chief Marketing Officer. Tervoort brings with her extensive experience in leading marketing at beverage brands, with a career history that includes roles at PepsiCo, Heineken, and Britvic.
A FTSE250 Board member, Tervoort most recently led Marketing2030 for the Institute for Real Growth, and prior to this spent two years as Global CMO at Britvic. She also spent more than seven years at The Heineken Company, first as CMO of Heineken UK and then as CEO of Beerwulf. Prior to this, she had a seven-year tenure at PepsiCo, leading marketing in its UK Nutrition team and then moving on to become VP Marketing Nutrition at Europe & Africa.
Her past roles have given her considerable expertise in building and scaling brands, which she will invest into her role at Tenzing, a B-corp that markets itself with the slogan, ‘Life’s too good for bad energy’.
Two new board members join the World Out of Home Organization
The World Out of Home Organization has elected two new board members: Elizabeth McIntyre, CEO of Australia’s Outdoor Media Association (OMA), and Felipe Viante, co-founder of b.drops and President of the Brazilian Out of Home Association (ABOOH).
McIntyre, a former Disney Executive, has led the OMA since April 2023 and also leads its outdoor measurement and visibility initiative, MOVE. Prior to joining the OMA, she was Group CEO at Think Brick Australia, which represents Australia’s clay brick and paving manufacturers.
Viante has played a leading role in the on-going development of ABOOH, which along with Central de Outdoor, make up the two main OOH trade associations in Brazil. His company b.drops is a digital out-of-home network that specialises in wellness and self-care locations, including barbershops, salons, and gyms.
Digital agency Spekk appoints Nick Boyce as Chief Technology & AI Officer
Nick Boyce has joined digital agency Spekk as its Chief Technology & AI Officer following its acquisition of Pablo, the AI-powered workflow platform he founded.
Boyce brings extensive experience spanning paid media, technology, data and AI. He is the founder of AI automation and analytics consultancy Trampoline and was previously Data & Analytics Director at social agency Spin Brands. He also leads the analysis for BenchPress, the UK’s largest benchmarking report for agencies.
In the newly-created role, Boyce will lead Spekk’s technology and AI strategy, overseeing the development of proprietary AI and automation infrastructure purpose-built for paid media. He will oversee a specialist technology team and report to Spekk Co-founder Måns Gårdfeldt.
Charlie Oscar adds senior hires from WPP to leadership team
Digital media and creator agency Charlie Oscar has appointed two senior figures from WPP to its leadership team: Matt Russell, who joins the agency as Head of Client Leadership, and Malik James-Williams, who joins as Head of AI Operations.
Russell has deep experience in client leadership, having spent five years at WPP first as Client Director and then as VP, Client Partner; he also spent more than eight years in executive roles at Essence, now EssenceMediacom. At Charlie Oscar, Russell will lead the development of strategic growth systems designed to drive greater effectiveness across media, creative and measurement.
James-Williams previously spent six years working in Innovation at Essencemediacom prior to joining Charlie Oscar, and has also held roles at Ad-Lib Digital, Manning Gottlieb OMD, and Wavemaker. In the newly-created role of Head of AI Operations, James-Williams will be responsible for scaling Charlie Oscar’s proprietary operating system, Charlie Oscar OS, as well as formalising how knowledge, workflows and automation are embedded across the business and accelerating the adoption of AI agents and enterprise LLM technologies throughout the organisation.
Ayla de Moraes joins Joint as Head of Strategy
Independent creative agency Joint is expanding its senior leadership team with the appointment of Ayla de Moraes to the newly-created role of Head of Strategy.
Over her career, de Moraes has held a long list of key strategy roles including Strategy Partner at McCann London, Head of Strategy at Orange Panther Collective, and Strategy Director at Publicis•Poke. She also launched her own ecommerce business, La Maison de Masson, in the Middle East with the goal of bringing sustainable brands to parents and their babies.
de Moraes will report to Rowenna Prest, Chief Strategy Officer, and will lead the strategy on a range of accounts, including Amazon, Pilgrim’s Europe and Belvoir Farm. At the same time, she will support the agency’s new business drive and help define its strategic direction as it scales.
Former Uber and Amazon exec Paul Wright joins Navigator as Board Advisor
Navigator, a first-party travel data platform for commerce media, has appointed former Uber executive Paul Wright as an Advisor to its Board.
Wright brings to the Board more than three decades of experience building and scaling some of the most pivotal businesses in advertising, with past roles at Uber, Apple, Amazon, BSkyB, Omnicom and Bauer Media. Wright spent more than three years leading Uber’s advertising business, first as its Head of UK & Ireland, then as the Interim Head of International and finally as Head of EMEA.
Other achievements in Wright’s extensive career include selling one of the UK’s earliest pre-roll video advertising businesses to Collective, supporting the sale of his startup, Aura, to Sky, and serving as part of the leadership team involved in the acquisition of Sizmek by Amazon. He is also a Board Advisor at Audiences and a Limited Partner at FirstPartyCapital.
Curly Media brings creative talent from Spotify into its leadership team
Social-first creative agency Curly Media has appointed Jade Greene as its Creative Strategy Director. Greene most recently served as Content Marketing Manager UK&IE at Spotify, where she was a key figure in the brand’s creative output, working on campaigns such as Spotify Wrapped and premium product launches such as Mixed playlists.
Prior to her time at Spotify, Greene was a Creative Strategist at The Goat Agency, where she delivered creator-led strategies for premium brands including Tesco, Mars, SHURE, Amazon Prime Video and more. She also spent more than two years in creative and production roles at Brilliant Noise.
In her new role, Greene is set to lead creative strategy across Curly’s client portfolio, reporting in to Curly’s founders: Creative Director Laura Gallop and Managing Director Emma Walker.
Iris London bolsters leadership team with senior operations and production appointments
Global creative agency Iris London has strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Ali Proctor-Walsh as Head of Operations and Vicci Whitlow as Head of Production.
Proctor-Walsh brings with her 18+ years of experience across creative, technology and innovation to support the evolution of the agency’s infrastructure. Reporting to CEO Zoe Eagle, as Head of Operations, she will lead day-to-day operational delivery across Iris London while driving efficiency, scalability and governance across the agency’s creative and production functions. Proctor-Walsh previously held senior roles including Production & Creator Marketing Lead, EMEA at Meta Creative Shop and Executive Producer at Nexus Studios; and has worked on accounts including Apple, Jaguar/Landrover, Disney, L’Oréal and LVMH.
Joining as Head of Production, Whitlow has more than 20 years of integrated production experience from leading creative agencies in London, Amsterdam & San Francisco. Reporting to Chief Creative Officer Menno Kluin, she will oversee all production output across the London office, managing projects from ideation through to delivery across film, digital, print and integrated campaigns. Most recently, she served as Head of Integrated Production at Karmarama / Accenture Song UK where she worked with clients such as the British Army, Confused.com, Peugeot and Lidl.
Greenpark appoints Charley Dennis as Paid Media Director EMEA
Digital content agency Greenpark has announced the appointment of Charley Dennis in the role of Paid Media Director EMEA.
Dennis will report into Sam Barker, Group Partner for Omnichannel Search & Insights, within Greenpark’s Omnichannel Search division. She will lead the development of integrated paid media strategies for clients such as Unilever, with a particular focus on emerging opportunities across AI and large language model (LLM) search environments.
Dennis joins Greenpark from NP Digital, where she served as Senior Paid Media Strategist and previously led the agency’s EMEA paid media team. Prior to working at NP Digital, Dennis held paid media and performance roles at Hill + Knowlton Strategies and Buddy Media. She is also a founding member of Young Marketers, part of the Worshipful Company of Marketors, and was selected to attend the DMA Talent School in 2019.
