As part of 2023’s Digital Upfronts season, IAB UK will host the UK’s first Retail Media and Connected TV Upfronts with leading companies from across the sectors. The new events will give advertisers and agencies an unrivalled preview of product launches, alongside insight and advice on how to leverage the channels effectively.
Retail Media Upfronts will see Amazon Ads, ASOS, LiveRamp, Nectar360 and Tesco Media & Insight Platform debut a range of exciting opportunities for advertisers, while CTV Upfronts will put DAZN, NBC Universal, Rakuten Advertising and Vevo on stage to share their offerings. Both half-day events will be hosted at The Steel Yard on Wednesday 18 October and are free to attend.
The new additions join a month-long series of Upfronts taking place 25 September – 19 October with some of the biggest players in the digital advertising industry. Amazon Ads, BBC Studios, Snap Inc. and YouTube will each be hosting stand-alone events at venues across London, while Podcast and Gaming Upfronts will return to The Steel Yard to spotlight the latest opportunities for brands from these fast-growing channels.
James Chandler, CMO at IAB UK, commented: “It’s hugely exciting to bring our first Retail Media and Connected TV Upfronts to the market and this move reflects the growing importance of both channels on advertising plans. Across the month, Digital Upfronts is all about celebrating innovation and spotlighting fresh opportunities for brands to use digital effectively. Not only do our Upfronts partners share their very latest news, they also platform the creators and star talent that make their channels so distinct. This is the only place to get a future-facing look at what digital advertising’s biggest players have to offer in 2024 and beyond.”
All Digital Upfronts are free to attend and agendas will be announced over the coming months. Past speakers include Oprah, Katherine Ryan, Tom Daley, Jon Sopel and Jessie Ware. More partners and all dates will be announced in due course. For all information see www.iabuk.com/upfronts
