Azerion, a digital entertainment and media platform, has appointed Anna Forbes as its UK Country Director – a promotion from her previous role as UK Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Forbes joined Azerion last year, as part of Azerion’s acquisition of digital marketing platform Inskin Media, where she was also COO. She boasts two decades of experience within the ad tech industry, leading teams across Europe and the US. She was previously UK General Manager at The Trade Desk, Senior Director at Xandr, COO and Co-founder of Brainient (acquired by Teads), and EMEA Sales Director at AppNexus (acquired by AT&T).
“I am really looking forward to starting in this new role, the business has undergone exceptional growth and in our current economic climate, it’s important we continue providing industry-leading client services. Understanding that traditional marketing methods must be reconsidered during an economic downturn will be my first focus,” said Forbes.
During her time at Xandr, Forbes oversaw a team that delivered £11 million in annual SaaS fees and over 200% revenue growth. And, at The Trade Desk, she outperformed market growth by over 175% and delivered revenues of approximately $150 million annually.
Forbes has been shortlisted in the Ad Tech Personality of the Year category at The Wires Global 2022. And, at the height of the pandemic, she Co-founded interactive digital fitness platform Ponzu, which aims to make fitness accessible to everybody from the comfort of their own homes by connecting people with instructors online.
“Anna is an industry veteran, her drive, innovative spirit, and collaborative outlook will ensure that Azerion continues on its path towards sustainable growth. This strategic promotion will ensure that the UK stays a critical hub for Azerion, as we look to continue our expansion across Europe and beyond,” said Sebastiaan Moesman, Chief Revenue Officer at Azerion.
