Vanessa Kingori OBE, MD tech, media and telecoms, Google will open NDA’s Digital Women event at Maison NDA in Cannes next week.
In her first interview since joining Google last year, Kingori will take part in a ‘fireside chat’ interview at the event, discussing her role and her personal mission for it, the opportunities for women in the digital industry, and the impact of technologies like AI.
Kingori joined from Condé Nast in November 2023 and was Condé Nast Britain’s first Black publisher. Prior to Condé, she worked at Evening Standard and Esquire. She has appeared on Powerful Media’s list of the 100 most influential black Britons each year for the past eight. In 2023 she was voted “the overall most powerful black executive in Britain”.
Kingori said she hoped her appearance at NDA’s Digital Women event would help inspire women to “lean in and take advantage of the huge opportunities offered by the societal and industry seismic potential of AI.”
Kingori’s interview will precede a panel discussion, moderated by Ellie Edwards Scott, Co Founder, The Advisory Collective, including: Arancha Cordero, SVP Dairy, Head of Global Category, Danone; Sarah Salter, Global Head of Innovation and Platforms, Wavemaker; Amy Williams, Founder and CEO, Good-Loop; Juliet McCutcheon, Commercial Director UK at Channel Factory; and a representative from LG Ads.
Launched in Cannes in 2022, Digital Women focussing on the particular opportunities and challenges for women in the digital industry, launched in partnership with Ellie Edwards Scott and Lisa Menaldo at The Advisory Collective.
The Digital Women event takes place at 3 – 4.30pm on Wednesday 19 June.followed by a networking party.
Maison NDA, supported by partners including LG Ads, Permutive, Channel Factory and Viooh, will feature a range of activities, including drinks parties – including for both NDA’s Digital Women and Media Pride initiatives – roundtables, and podcasts, throughout the week.
