Beauty and personal care retailer Pinalli has digitally improved its customer experience and in-store operations using a solution from Pricer, a provider of ESLs (Electronic Shelf Labels).
Founded in Emilia, Italy in 1984, Pinalli is a luxury beauty chain, renowned for its excellence in service, advice, price and quality. With 70 stores located in principle cities across the country, Pinalli’s beauty specialists provide a tailor-made services for customers, across a range of over 40,000 products from the most prestigious beauty brands to the latest independent lables.
Wanting to ensure it could stay at the forefront of customer innovation and deliver exceptional, brand-rich shopping experiences, Pinalli recently undertook an ambitious investment programme across its store estate. Its objective was to improve the in-store experiences, increase customer engagement levels and reinforce the bright, bold and modern look of each store which is in keeping with Pinalli’s brand values.

Last year, Pricer’s solution was found to deliver significant ROI based on operational efficiencies and digitally enhanced store estates that help to protect margin, according to ‘The Total Economic Impact™ of Pricer’, a commissioned study conducted by Forrester. The study, which explores the cost savings and business benefits of in-store digitalisation enabled by Pricer’s Electronic shelf label (ESL) solution, found that Pricer delivers a five year ROI of 277% and, typically, the solution effectively paid for itself within 18months.
Partnering with Pricer, the automation of Pinalli’s in-store communication represents a major step in its digitalisation journey as the stores are now interconnected and able to communicate through Pricer’s solution. The ESLs guarantee accurate and synchronised pricing across the chain, whilst also helping to improve the operational effectiveness of its store associates.
