My Ecommerce Hero: Kristina Kaganer, Global VP, Commerce Data Products and Analytics at Coty

My Ecommerce Hero is a series celebrating brilliance in ecommerce, in association with, an initiative from Entropy‘s Alex Tait to encourage more female speakers at industry events. We’re asking leaders in the ecommerce sector to nominate their own heroes and explain what they’ve done that’s so important.

Kristina Kaganer is Global VP, Commerce Data Products and Analytics at Coty. She previously worked at agencies including Omnicom, Mindshare and MediaVest.

Who is your ecommerce hero?

Jennifer McNally, Senior Digital Product Strategist at Beamly.

What has she done to win hero status in your eyes?

Jennifer is an amazing, diverse and adaptable ecommerce leader. She has gone from working in more of a traditional to ecommerce background to a digital innovation role driving change in ecommerce through technology.

How has her heroism helped drive ecommerce?

She has taken courageous leaps and every time an opportunity to do something different presented itself, she took it.

What the biggest challenges in ecommerce we need another hero to solve?

Ecommerce is still very cryptic to most if not all people. We need more people to stand up to educate.

What is your most heroic personal achievement so far in ecommerce?

This is going to sound corny but it’s working with a great team who is so passionate about not just understanding the space but helping others make sense of it.

Is there a diversity problem in ecommerce and how can we best address it if so?

I am not going to say that there is a diversity problem but there is a diversity challenge.

The main thing that we can do is communicate openly and hear multiple points of view. I think this is one space where it is fair to say that there is no one right answer.
