What are you most excited about in the digital industry in 2023?
Much has changed in the last few years and the global pandemic has greatly contributed to emerging trends in digital becoming standard behaviours. Today, a large percentage of all consumer journeys are started and completed entirely in the digital realm. The expectations of consumers are rapidly evolving with high demand for hyper personalised, connected and frictionless user experience. On the other hand, we regularly wake up to the news of a data breach or unauthorised access to personal information. As a result, many companies will prioritise customer trust powered by investments in privacy and protection of the personal information entrusted to them. Customers will prioritise the ability to trust a digital entity, based on globally accepted trust indexes and metrics and this will be a major factor in their decision on whether to do business with a company, or not. As global consumers of digital products and services, we will all collectively benefit from investments in ‘digital trust’, and we should all be excited about the outcomes.
What are you most positive about for your business in 2023?
Prezzee’s mission is to ignite human connections through remarkable digital gifting moments. Our solutions and products are powered by digital, technology and data capabilities, which brings our mission to life instantly. We have seen many businesses benefit from our digital solutions as they look for new and innovative ways to create special gifting moments for their customers, as well as individual consumers who are switching from physical to digital gifting as a way to add choice, adaptability and instant gratification to their special moments. These trends have a powerful momentum and impact and will continue to drive exciting and positive momentum for Prezzee in 2023 and beyond.
How will the digital industry, and your company, help make life better for consumers or partners in 2023?
The maturity of tech and data capabilities across many industries drives the adoption of new, innovative and connected customer experiences in addition to creating solutions which save time or money for consumers. In 2023, companies like Prezzee will continue to create digital experiences which ignite human connections through remarkable digital gifting moments, while launching new ways to experience and interact with us and other global brands.
What technologies have you been most impressed with this year and which will have the most impact in 2023?
The continued investments in machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) have brought about significant adoption of these technologies across many industry sectors. We will continue to see those investments generate value, whilst the technologies continue to be picked up for more sophisticated uses. Next year and beyond, we will continue to see the creation of innovative data-powered intelligent computing solutions, which will be brought together by the smart integration of AI, AR, VR , and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). This will further bridge the divide between the physical and digital worlds and establish hyper personalised human experiences.
- What, if any, positive impacts on the digital industry could an economic downturn have?
During economic downturns, companies usually try to become more efficient and this often triggers a reduction in capital investments. This doesn’t need to be the case though. One of the powerful attributes of digital businesses and the wider industry is the ability to continue to strive for innovation and growth without the need for heavy capital investments.
