Brainlabs have today announced their latest acquisition, the global ecommerce agency and Amazon specialist, Molzi. The move is Brainlabs’ third acquisition this year, following investment from private equity firm Livingbridge in 2019 to support an accelerated growth strategy.
Molzi was formed in 2017 by Chris Mole and now employs more than 70 staff. Molzi also recently opened an office in Brazil, in addition to its offices in the UK, Spain and Hong Kong; and launched new specialised services including the ability for brands to reclaim tens or even hundreds of thousands in over-charges back from Amazon.
Molzi will continue to expand its international footprint and develop service offerings for Amazon and additional marketplaces. Brainlabs also intends to drive increased investment into engineering to fuel scale and efficiency on Amazon. Molzi becomes Brainlabs’ specialist ecommerce arm and will continue to be led by Chris Mole, initially via the sub-brand “Molzi by Brainlabs” before full integration.
Chris Mole, CEO & Founder of Molzi, commented: “Over the past 12 months we’ve been courted by a number of businesses looking to expand their portfolio off the back of last year’s eCommerce boom. It’s not until we met Brainlabs when we got ‘the feeling’ we’d met our perfect match. The culture at Molzi is about ambition, determination and transparency. We want to be the leading global marketplace agency. We want to get better as well as getting bigger, and Brainlabs share these traits and goals. We’re excited to be part of the world’s smartest digital agency and bring even more success to our clients across the world.”
The move follows Incubeta’s acquisition of Maze-One, also an Amazon and ecommerce specialist.
