Precis announces acquisition of specialist SEO agency Nucleus

Precis, a full service data-driven marketing agency, has acquired SEO agency Nucleus.

Nucleus, which was originally founded by British SEO experts Rhys Davies (previously at Found and Wunderman Thompson) and James Perrott who both met while working at Zazzle (acquired by Stickyeyes and then IPG Mediabrands), works with B2B and B2C clients across the Nordics, Europe, the UK, and the US, including Scandic Hotels, CDON, Qred, Nordicfeel, and Wag Walking. The agency has created proprietary processes and technologies that can adapt to different market dynamics. Their team’s technical expertise, strategic thinking, and robust content creation capabilities complements Precis’ existing SEO approach.

The acquisition aligns with Precis’ strategy to bolster its experience across the different service offerings. By integrating Nucleus’ expertise with Precis’ strengths in media management, creative, data & analytics, and strategic planning, the group will be better positioned to deliver comprehensive solutions that drive real business impact.

Jess Dickenson, CEO at Precis UK, commented: ‘’The field of search changes quicker than most brands are able to follow. Our ambition with our SEO offering at Precis is to help our clients adapt to these changes and lead in organic growth. We do so by focusing on three main areas: using AI smartly for content and optimisation, developing best practices for new search trends like generative search experiences, and enhancing user experience to boost engagement and conversions. We’re beyond excited to welcome Nucleus’ team of talented individuals and believe that combining our strengths will offer something truly unique for our clients’’

Rhys Davies of Nucleus said: ‘’Precis is a company I have always admired and respected and I am super excited about this new chapter. From the very first time meeting the Precis team, it has been clear that our cultures, ways of working, and vision for the future of SEO are perfectly aligned. Now, as a combined team of 27 specialists in SEO, Content, and CRO we aim to build the world’s best organic search offering for our clients.’’

James Perrott of Nucleus added: ‘’With this deal now complete, we truly bring some of the best SEO minds together to lead the way for clients in this ever-changing digital landscape. Aside from Nucleus and Precis aligning perfectly with regard to culture-fit, we also met our strategic match when it came to our ambitious visions too. We are delighted to be able to offer our existing clients access to best in class SEM, Creative and Analytics/ Attribution teams to further bolster their efforts. With the scale and power we now have behind us as one team, the future feels very promising indeed.”
