Reddit pens global ad partnership with IPG Mediabrands

Reddit has entered into its first global enterprise partnership, linking up with IPG Mediabrands to strengthen its advertising business. The partnership, led by Reddit’s global agency development team, will give Mediabrands’ agencies early access to cultural trends in real-time, data-driven insights, and other strategic benefits.

Mediabrands will be able to work with Reddit’s sales, marketing sciences, and community teams across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany to deliver results for its clients. Mediabrands’ teams will also receive early access to a ‘Trending Insights Dashboard’ tailored to their specific needs, and gain access to creative services from KarmaLab, Reddit’s in-house creative strategy agency.

Reddit’s Trending Insights Dashboard is an interactive tool that determines trending content by looking at growth trajectory, engagement, and viral spread. Reddit will release insight reports for all major industry verticals throughout the partnership.

“We look forward to developing more sophisticated solutions to meet the unique needs of IPG Mediabrands’ clients,” said Harold Klaje, Global EVP and President of Advertising at Reddit. “We have appreciated our strong relationship with Mediabrands for many years and believe that this collective partnership will take it to the next level. We’re refining tools, teams, and resources to ensure that Mediabrands’ clients are set up for long-term success on our platform.”

The partnership will be led by Reddit’s Global Agency Development Lead, Lindsay Kaufman Placona. Kaufman Placona, and her team, will collaborate with Mediabrands to fine-tune the Trending Insights Dashboard to suit the needs of clients in different markets.
