Post-pandemic and with the UK and International events scene booming, how vital is Dmexco today? NDA caught up with leaders across the industry to hear their thoughts. Next up is Richard Ottoy, GM, EMEA at Sharethrough.

If you’re going to Dmexco, why are you going/ if not, why not?

I will be attending Dmexco this year as I’ve always found it to be a great event to hold good business meetings and meet up with clients and friends from across the region.

How important is Dmexco in the industry event calendar?

Dmexco has always been an important event and for me is one of the main events on the calendar each year along with Advertising Week Europe, Cannes and MADFest.

However, how I best utilise Dmexco is less about company promotion through sponsorship, having a booth or speaking at the conference and is more about holding a good number of constructive, well-structured business meetings

Is it still as international a show as the likes of Cannes Lions?

Dmexco is an international event as it attracts businesses and people from a number of different countries. However, I would say less so than Cannes.

In my experience, Dmexco is more of a European event than a global event.
