A curated marketplace of independent publishers has launched to provide brands and advertisers with a single source of reaching ‘every adult in the UK’.
The Independent Publishers Alliance (The Alliance) has introduced The Independent Marketplace in response to the upcoming deprecation of third-party cookies and regulatory changes that are threatening the incomes of these publishers.
The marketplace aims to enable easy access to independent publisher sites at scale through existing monetisation setups, and promises higher engagement and creative interaction than non-independent domains.
The Alliance is a membership organisation which aims to champion and empower the independent publishing community. It’s currently home to more than 50 leading independent publishers which produce original content across over 150 web brands.
“Independent content publishers and their interests have not been represented in the media and advertising industry to date,” said a spokesperson for The Alliance. “With important roles to play within each of their respective fields, independent publishers have come together through membership of the Independent Publisher Alliance. The Alliance offers support, advocacy and representation to ensure the independent publisher’s voice is heard.”
