JCDecaux Programmatic DOOH Live Awards: how to make your video entry

With the deadline for entries now less than a month away, marketers are being urged to submit their favourite Digital Out-of-Home campaigns from the past year for consideration at the inaugural JCDecaux Programmatic DOOH Live Awards.

Designed to be far easier and quicker to participate in than standard industry awards, marketers are asked to submit a short video entry rather than complete an exhaustive written entry form. Now, Dom Kozak, Head of Programmatic, JCDecaux and Justin Pearse, Editor of New Digital Age, have created a video of their own explaining how to enter the categories of your choice.

Pearse commented: “As a format, DOOH is massively impactful and achieves a lot in a short space of time. We wanted participating in these awards to be just as time-efficient and meaningful so are asking brand marketers to simply record entries directly on their mobile phones. The entries will be judged on the strength of the campaign rather than the quality of the video, so don’t worry about creating a slick production.

“You’ll never have an easier opportunity to show some love for your favourite DOOH campaigns of the year. Don’t wait. Make your entries today.”

In a twist to the secretive, behind-closed-doors judging process normally associated with ad industry awards, the JCDecaux Programmatic DOOH Live Awards will be judged live at an engaging, interactive afternoon event in London.

Alongside an expert judging panel, the gathered audience will be able to cast their votes for the most innovative campaigns, while the public will also have their say on the People’s Choice award.

Mark Bucknell, Chief Commercial Officer, JCDecaux UK, said: “Having watched the pDOOH landscape evolve over the past five years, we’re proud to launch the UK’s only awards designed to specifically recognise the most innovative and impactful campaigns created by agencies, technology platforms, and brands.”
