TikTok introduces educational programme for small businesses

TikTok has launched a multi-channel educational experience to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) to leverage the social platform to drive real-world results.

Launching today (4 August), ‘Follow Me’ is a six-week programme aimed at providing SMBs with resources on how to get started on TikTok, and use the platform to boost their business. In particular, it will serve as a guide for businesses looking to share their stories, build their community, and achieve their business goals.

TikTok says that small businesses from around the world are an important part of its community, with these businesses sharing their stories, promoting their products and services, and taking people behind the scenes.

The programme will give UK SMBs the chance to learn the latest tips from Only Curls, TikTok’s Small Business Ambassador. The business, which sells ‘curl enhancing hair products’, will share its TikTok journey and provide tips on how to tap into the app’s community and entertainment to drive business results.

Furthermore, Follow Me will offer different learning roadmaps based on the business’ goals, and invite SMBs to a six-week email series that will outline the best practices for running their first-ever campaign on TikTok, and integrating their brand’s story into their videos. This will include a guide to setting up a free Business Account, access to the Creative Centre, and insights into how TikTok Ads Manager and Promotion features can be used to deliver better outcomes.

Businesses interested in signing up for the Follow Me programme can do so here.
