NDA Innovation Sessions helps bridge the gap between tech companies and agencies

New Digital Age is next month launching the second in its Dragon’s Den-style event series where innovative tech companies will have the chance to pitch their solutions to the senior team at leading agencies.

The inaugural event last week saw data-driven media benchmarking Percept, independent ad server Flashtalking, native ad and content discovery platform EngageYa, programmatic technology company IPONWEB, digital creative specialist Deviceful, and mobile data platform Intuizi pitch their tech solutions to a panel of agency luminaries.

Each tech company pitched in the first session to the entire judging panel of Lauren Ogundeko, Head of Response & Board Director, PHD; Martin Beauchamp, Head of Data Strategy, Wakemaker; Seun Odeneye, UK MD, Cadron; Jonathan Lewis Jones, MD of Data & Ecommerce, Publicis: Celine Saturnino, COO, Total Media, and Marcos Angelides, Chief Innovation Officer, Spark Foundry.

This was followed by a deep dive session to the respective agency’s wider team.

The event aims to help solve the innovation conumdum which stops agencies and their clients gaining effective access to the technologies that could supercharge their businesses.

Andy Oakes, Publisher, New Digital Age, said: “We were incredibly pleased to see such a high level of engagement from our judges and their team. Agency leaders just don’t have enough time as they to be able to meet and discover all the innovative tech companies that can benefit their agency and clients and we want to do all we can to help. Follow-on disuccsions have already begun and we’re looking forward to seeing the outcomes of this process.”

The second NDA Innovations Sessions event takes place on 7 July, again with NDA’s event partners Dave Katz and Ellie Edwards-Scott, who have over 40 years of digital media experience between them, including working within top five agencies and running innovative challenger businesses.

The July event will see tech companies pitch to a judging panel of leaders at Mindshare, Carat, Vodafone, Mediacom, Amplify, and The Barber Shop.

Edwards-Scott said: “There are so many incredible tech companies out there that will add huge value to agencies and their clients but they sometimes struggle to reach the right people there. We’re so excited to help bring both sides together to help innovation flourish still further across our industry.”
