Thiago Correa is Chief Digital, Data & Technology Officer, Performics, Zenith. We asked who his digital hero is.
Who is your digital hero?
Dr Grace Kite, Founder and Economist, Magic Numbers.
What has she done to win hero status in your eyes?
I think her articulation of ‘digital rent’ is really succinct. This idea of digital-physical availability as a third pillar alongside mental and physical availability gave us language to describe something many people felt but were failing to articulate.
How has her heroism helped drive digital?
It’s a relatively new idea, so I think this is an idea that is still working its way round the industry – and there will be people who don’t like it, especially in my line of work!
But it will continue working its way round because it has value. Especially as digital continues to grow in importance, more ads become actionable and everyone realises we already live in the metaverse, and that this digital layer that permeates out of our phones across our lives is a physical place in as real a sense as the high street.
What are the biggest challenges in digital we need another hero to solve?
What we do after cookies. Hold my drink.
What is your most heroic personal achievement so far in digital?
The team we’ve built here at Performics @ Zenith.
The number of awards, media firsts and published case studies over the past 12 months are really just confirmation of what we’ve known for a long time. But to receive Agency of the year, Performance Agency of the Year, Best Places to Work and Team of the Year in the same year is up there on my personal highlights reel.
