Grey London creates Volvo nature experience at Outernet
Grey London has created The Human Recharging Station, an immersive experience for Volvo Car UK and the Eden Project to support the launch of the electric EX60. The activation ran at London’s Outernet from 1–3 October.
Inspired by the Eden Project’s rainforest biome, the experience used nature sounds, scent and guided meditation to offer visitors a place to pause in the city. Grey led the creative development, working with HEX, The Event Business and Initiative on planning and production.
The activation concluded a wider tour promoting the EX60, which included an anamorphic cube displaying Eden Project imagery at four locations.
JOAN London launches SURI’s first TV campaign
JOAN London has developed “Great days with SURI”, the first campaign under electric toothbrush brand SURI’s “Designed for Life” platform. The campaign marks the brand’s debut on national television and is also running across out-of-home media.
The film follows a woman’s daily routine, using the moments when she brushes her teeth at the beginning and end of the day to explore how the ritual fits into everyday life. The work was made with directing duo Danny&Loco, represented by My Accomplice.
The campaign launched on television on 4 October, followed by activity across the London Underground and TfL network from 5 October.
Dream Quickly creates Faith In Nature’s first TV campaign
Personal care company Faith In Nature has launched “BEES R GOOD”, its first national television campaign, created by Dream Quickly. The campaign premiered on Channel 4 on 4 October after Faith In Nature won the broadcaster’s B Corp competition.
The advert reworks a 1990s dance track and features bees, trees and other creatures made from recycled materials, with members of the Faith In Nature community appearing in the film. Blink Productions handled production, with direction by John Ogunmuyiwa and music production by Siren Music.
Research commissioned by Faith In Nature to coincide with the campaign surveyed 2,000 adults about their relationship with nature. It found that 69% believed spending even a short time outdoors could improve their mood.
Specsavers launches contact lens campaign with its creative agency
Specsavers has launched “Contact Lens Rookies Welcome”, a campaign aimed at people aged 45–59 who wear glasses but have never tried contact lenses. The work focuses on the awkwardness of learning to put lenses in, with the aim of making first-time use feel more approachable.
Created by Specsavers Creative, the campaign follows real people, including influencers and comedy creators, as they try contact lenses for the first time. It runs across broadcast and streaming video, YouTube, digital, social and out-of-home from 5 October to 1 November.
Manning Gottlieb OMD is handling UK media, while Tangerine is responsible for social.
Brandnation develops Altra’s Legacy Team campaign
Brandnation has created The Legacy Team campaign for running brand Altra, bringing together four runners aged between 75 and 85 to share their experience with younger runners.
The campaign features Peter Giles, Rajinder Singh MBE, Laurence Cummings and Pritpal Kaur. Portraits by photographer Rankin accompany the initiative, which is intended to encourage people in their twenties and thirties to develop sustainable running habits.
The campaign draws on research commissioned by Altra into why runners stop running, including injury and extended periods away from the sport. A free book, The Long Run, featuring advice from the four runners is due to be released later in the year. Activity will span PR, social, retail and events.
TBWA\MCR returns wildbean cafe to television
TBWA\MCR has created a new campaign for wildbean cafe, marking the coffee brand’s first television advertising in 20 years. The “Well, That Was Wildly Unexpected” platform challenges perceptions of coffee sold at petrol stations.
The campaign launched across television, out-of-home, social, advertising vans and in-store activity in October. Its creative uses humour to encourage drivers to reconsider the brand’s coffee offer.
The campaign coincides with a trial at 45 bp locations introducing new coffee machines and barista-made drinks. The work is the first in a planned series of campaigns for wildbean cafe.
The Folk Group and Cardiff University research AI’s impact on health brands
The Folk Group has worked with Cardiff University on research examining how consumers are using AI tools to find health information and the challenges this creates for brands.
The research reports that Google displays an AI-generated answer in 89% of UK health searches, potentially reducing clicks through to websites. It also found that pages cited in Google’s AI Overviews do not necessarily rank highly in traditional search results.
The report includes interviews with organisations including Boots, Bupa, The Turmeric Co. and NHS Wales. It examines how AI is changing the customer journey, the role of third-party sources and the difficulties brands face in measuring how AI answers influence visits to websites or stores.
72andSunny develops Indeed’s “Jobs Need People” campaign
72andSunny has created a new UK brand campaign for Indeed, titled “Jobs Need People”. The campaign focuses on the role of people in recruitment and the contribution that individual skills and experience make to workplaces.
The work features films showing people in everyday working situations and is rolling out across television, digital, radio, digital audio and social media. The campaign forms part of a wider global initiative, with activity also planned in the US.
The launch comes as Indeed develops its use of AI-powered matching technology, while positioning human needs and connections as central to the recruitment process.
ETM retains Hawai‘i Tourism Europe account through 2029
ETM has been reappointed by the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority to lead consumer and trade marketing, PR and communications across Europe through the end of 2029. The account will be managed from the UK, with German representation provided by New Age Marketing, part of ETM.
The activity will focus on the UK and Germany, promoting longer stays, greater visitor spending and travel across multiple Hawaiian islands. Planned work includes consumer marketing, PR, partnerships and engagement with the travel trade.
Raman Davies has joined as UK PR Manager, succeeding Joanna Cooke, while Amelia Dipper has joined as Social Media & Marketing Executive. Amy Thomas continues to lead the European account.
The Curiosity Collective launches with three specialist agencies
Agency leaders Laura Pace and David Heron have launched The Curiosity Collective, bringing together B2B events agency Yellow Fish, brand and marketing strategy agency Blue Panda, and newly launched consumer experiential agency Untold.
Untold is led by Managing Director Ellen Robinson, Strategy Lead Jay Davis and Creative Director Katie Collins. Janine Hart has joined as Managing Director of Yellow Fish’s global B2B events and incentives business, while Sarah Pick continues to lead Blue Panda. Jess Charles will oversee operations across the collective as COO.
The group operates in the UK and US and works with clients across sectors including automotive, technology, retail and luxury. It plans to combine the agencies’ specialist capabilities on projects while retaining their individual identities.
Brand Champions launches postcode tool for pharmacies
Brand Champions has launched a postcode-check service designed to help UK pharmacies understand local audiences and identify marketing opportunities.
Pharmacies can submit their postcode to receive an analysis within a fortnight. The service draws on publicly available local authority, Census and NHS data, as well as local search behaviour and pharmacy visibility, to identify demographic characteristics, health needs and relevant services.
The initiative is intended to help pharmacies tailor communications to their communities as their role in providing frontline healthcare expands.
the7stars Foundation marks ten years of grants
The7stars Foundation, established in 2016 by independent media agency the7stars, has distributed more than £2 million in grants over its first decade to support vulnerable and overlooked young people across the UK.
Funded by 5% of the profits of the7stars and Bountiful Cow, the Foundation has made 529 awards, including 373 grants to charities and organisations and 156 awards providing direct support to individuals.
Funding has supported services including counselling, mentoring and creative therapies, as well as practical essentials such as beds, school uniforms and laptops. Recipients include Refuge, Imara, Carers Hub, Alder Trust and Rising Sun.
Wonderhood Studios creates Waitrose Dine In campaign
Wonderhood Studios has developed a new campaign for Waitrose promoting its Dine In for Two and Takeaway for Four offers. The campaign uses two 20-second films that initially appear to show people dining in restaurants before revealing that they are eating at home.
The work uses the line “It’s not fine dining, it’s fine Dine In” and targets younger adults who might otherwise choose a takeaway or a night out. The prices of the two offers feature prominently in the campaign.
The films were produced by Wonderhood Makers and directed by Kyle Jon Shepherd. The campaign launched across social and BVOD, with support from digital, out-of-home and radio. MG OMD planned and bought the BVOD media, while Waitrose’s in-house team manages social.
Fred & Farid New York creates AAA Insurance campaign
Fred & Farid New York has developed an integrated campaign for AAA Club Alliance to promote its insurance offering across home, auto and life insurance.
The campaign, “Insurance Never Sounded So Good”, builds on AAA’s “The Start of Something Good” platform and features a three-member band providing a musical backdrop to scenes depicting milestones such as buying a home, welcoming a child, teaching a teenager to drive and preparing for retirement.
The campaign is scheduled to run across television, digital, social, radio and out-of-home media in AAA Club Alliance’s markets. It is the agency’s first insurance campaign for the organisation.
