Alliance of Independent Agencies teams up with the Pan-African Agency Network (PAAN)

The Alliance of Independent Agencies (the Alliance) has announced a landmark partnership with the Pan-African Agency Network (PAAN). This collaboration establishes a global framework to champion, connect, and elevate independent agencies across Africa and worldwide.

At the heart of the partnership lies a shared belief: independent agencies are stronger when they work together. The Alliance and PAAN will co-develop initiatives that drive growth, creativity, knowledge-sharing, and professional development helping members build local capacity while unlocking global opportunities.

“This partnership with PAAN is an exciting and important step for the global independent agency community,” said Terry Martin, Managing Director of the Alliance. “By connecting with our peers across Africa, we’re opening up new pathways for learning, cultural exchange, and creative excellence. Together, we can amplify the voice of independent agencies on the world stage.”

Duncan Njue, Partnerships Director, Pan-African Agency Network (PAAN), commented: “This partnership marks an important moment for Africa’s independent agencies. By connecting with the Alliance, we’re not only giving our creativity and innovation a stronger global platform, but also creating pathways for collaboration, learning, and growth that will strengthen agencies across the continent.”

Key areas of collaboration include promoting cross-network creativity, collaboration, and international visibility for African agencies; tackling shared industry challenges and identifying new opportunities; and developing leadership and skills through joint training, webinars, and workshops.

As part of the agreement, members of both organisations will enjoy reciprocal access to benefits including awards, benchmarking, training, and events on equal terms, without the need for dual membership.
