Double Verify (DV) has appointed Doug Campbell as their new Chief Strategy Officer. Campbell has more than two decades of experience successfully growing public and private companies in the arenas of advertising technology, connected TV and over-the-top video, digital measurement, data analytics, and software-as-a-service. Prior to joining DV, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Telaria, where he oversaw the successful merger with Rubicon Project and the acquisition of SpotX to form Magnite. At DV, he will play a vital role in building the company’s presence in the digital media landscape, helping build a stronger, safer and more secure digital advertising ecosystem.

Mobile-first company, TabMo, has appointed Olivia Dale as its new Agency Sales Manager, as it continues to expand its team to meet the growing demand for its cross-channel advertising platform, Hawk. Dale, who was previously at programmatic media operator MiQ, will be responsible for driving growth within some of TabMo’s key network media agencies. The role will see her support client teams at these agency partners to ensure they are maximising Hawk’s technical benefits and harnessing TabMo’s expertise. She will also advise advertisers on cross-channel strategies as they continue to adopt a more unified approach to media planning and addressability in a world without third-party cookies.

Martin Weides, Professor of Quantum Technologies at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow (U.K.) will take up the newly created Consultant Technical Director position at Oxford Instruments NanoScience, alongside his University role. With expertise in quantum information processing and qubit systems, Weides will help drive the product roadmap in both quantum computing and physical sciences as Oxford Instruments NanoScience continues to innovate and lead in these markets.

IRIS Software Group (IRIS) has announced that David Turner has been appointed as its Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining IRIS, Turner grew international marketing teams and led major transformation at cloud software company Oracle NetSuite, ERP vendor Unit4 and accounting software company CODA. He was pivotal in the launch of SaaS ERP vendor FinancialForce. Most recently he established a marketing operation at Order-to-Cash AI specialist Sidetrade. Turner will oversee a transformation of IRIS’ approach to the market as it delivers its exciting new cloud platform IRIS Elements to accountancy practices, as well as increasing its focus on the education sector, and increasing our dominance of the UK HR and payroll markets in the UK and internationally.

Manchester digital agency, MadeByShape, has appointed Nathan Johnston as Content Writer, bringing the total headcount at the agency to 12. 26-year-old Johnston, from Oldham, will focus on content creation for MadeByShape’s client projects, including blog articles, tone of voice, brand personality and on-page content. Working closely with the agency’s SEO team, Johnston will ensure all content has an SEO focus aligned to the strategies created for its clients.

Jonathan Harman has joined Go Inspire as a key non-executive appointment in the company’s next five-year growth plan. Jonathan Harman brings important strategic experience and viewpoint to Go Inspire Group. He has spent over 30 years in marketing and led marketing, media, loyalty and tech businesses serving CMOs for over 20 years. Harman is currently executive chair of The Kite Factory, a private equity-backed, independent performance media agency. He was previously Managing Director, Media at Royal Mail Group and has led UK and EMEA agencies for WPP, Omnicom and others.

Shutterstock Inc. has announced Meeckel Beecher is joining the Company as Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this position, Beecher will advance Shutterstock’s global DEI strategy, to ensure the brand and product offerings are diverse and representative of its people, and of the communities Shutterstock services globally. Beecher joins Shutterstock from Altice USA, where he served as Director of Community Affairs. There, he partnered with various stakeholders to incorporate DEI best practices across the business, and in community engagement programs, and collaborated with the company’s Employee Resource Groups to build engagement and impact. Beecher also has notable experience in communications and corporate social responsibility.

Experiential technology business inurface group has announced Naren Patel has joined their evolving businesses advisory board. Patel’s CV highlights a number of relevant business successes which position him brilliantly to offer advice and support for the young inurface team. Most notably at Primesight Patel led the business through a stock market flotation, sale, buy back and massive growth, finally sold the business to Global Radio in 2018. Since then, he has launched the verification system Geoprove Limited, and built-up Media for All which is a mentoring network form Black, Asian and other minority talent in media and is a trustee for NABS.

Admix has made two new senior appointments. Ad industry players, former Dentsu Aegis Network CEO Nigel Morris, and former GroupM CEO and global CDO Rob Norman, join the company. Based in New York, Rob Norman will act as a Senior Strategic Advisor to Admix’ rapidly expanding team in the US. Norman was a long time CDO of WPP’s GroupM and additionally served as its North American CEO. Norman is also a director at Simpli.fi, a leading programmatic advertising platform based in Texas. A well-known voice in the ad world Twittersphere, Norman is currently a director of SaaS company Piano and a non-executive director of BBC Global News. Nigel Morris, an investor in Admix, now joins the board of the company and will work closely with the leadership. Morris was a central figure at the Dentsu Aegis Network for over 25 years, founding the global digital network Isobar and transforming the US Group. He is Chair of the innovation consultancy The Upside, on the board of data science business Gyana, and is also a longstanding Non-executive Director at the Guardian Media Group.

Grass Valley has welcomed media technology expert Barbara DeHart as Director of Alliances for the GV Media Universe. In this newly created role, DeHart will focus all of Grass Valley’s strategic partnerships on bringing together high-performance solutions from recognised broadcast technology vendors into a unified cloud-native ecosystem. DeHart has experience leading worldwide marketing and product marketing teams as well as desktop software and cloud business units at Telestream. Most recently, DeHart co-founded Sama Learning, a company bringing together immersive technology, artificial intelligence and education science to develop a smart VR learning platform to improve studying, increase engagement and enhance STEM education persistence. She also serves as a mentor to women-led technology companies and is committed to developing the next generation of technology leaders.
