Camilla Charalambous, nee King, has been promoted to Growth Director at TIPi Group, following her return from Maternity leave. Charalambous was previously Sales and Marketing Director at the independent network of specialist agencies, including ROAST, Rabbit & Pork and Kitty. The new role will see Charalambous report into CEO and Founder, Oliver Bishop. She will be responsible for driving growth initiatives across the group; focusing on products, positioning and partnerships. As well as new business processes and performance. Having joined ROAST, TIPi Group’s founding agency, from launch in 2015, Charalambous has held senior positions across account management, client servicing and marketing. Prior to TIPi Group, Charalambous led campaign strategies for numerous brands at digital agency, STEAK. During her career, Charalambous has worked with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Fenwick, Unibet and Trafalgar Tours.

Global technology company Brand Metrics, which works with publishers to demonstrate the effectiveness of digital advertising, has appointed Agnes Asplund Schmidt to the role of Customer Success Manager as a growing number of clients choose its technology to measure brand lift at scale. A seasoned Customer Success Manager, Asplund Schmidt spent over five years at PR and communications firm Mynewsdesk. She also served clients at Techquity AB and Waybler. Asplund Schmidt has worked in customer success management for over six years in multiple areas such as PR, finance and technology. She will lead customer relations, ensuring Brand Metrics’ clients get the best experience and outcomes from its groundbreaking technology.

Amperity, the customer data platform (CDP) for enterprise consumer brands, announces its expansion in the European market with the opening of a new office in London and a trio of new executive appointments. Overseeing the company’s success in the region is Matthew Biboud Lubeck, who has now been promoted to Vice President EMEA. The strong demand has also necessitated the onboarding of two additional senior hires Scott Boocock, Area VP EMEA Sales, and Alex Henry, Solutions Consultant, who will be helping brands realise the exponential opportunities that can only be unlocked with a full 360-view of the customer. Bringing more than 15 years of experience, Lubeck joined Amperity in 2017. He is a true data mastermind with experience helping global beauty conglomerates Estee Lauder and L’Oréal better use data to unlock incredible experiences and emerge as industry leaders, Lubeck is overseeing Amperity’s growth and success in the region.

The Marketing Practice has announced the appointment of Gregory Roekens as its new chief technology officer. The hire is representative of the agency’s commitment to creating a world-beating growth platform for B2B globally. Roekens joins The Marketing Practice with an incredible track record of delivering tech-led innovation in an agency setting. He has been brought into some of the world’s leading agencies – including Grey Group, AMV BBDO, Wunderman and Havas – with the remit of enhancing technological capabilities and weaving tech and digital into the fabric of what they do. Outside of the agency landscape, Roekens has also packed a considerable punch. He joins The Marketing Practice from BBC Maestro, which he co-founded in 2019, fulfilling the role of chief digital officer. 

Friend MTS, provider of video security solutions to the biggest names in live and on-demand sports and entertainment, has announced the appointment of Chris Gibbs as Senior Vice President of Global Sales as the company expands its global footprint and drives growth in new markets. The appointment of Gibbs further strengthens the Friend MTS Leadership Team which recently saw Shane McCarthy join as the new CEO and Daniel Harris appointed as the Chair of the board. Gibbs brings 30 years of experience in the media and entertainment technology sector, previously holding senior sales roles at ThinkAnalytics, Accedo and Pace PLC. He has a strong track record of expediting growth, deploying complex technology-based services, and helping customers implement solutions and strategies that deliver successful business outcomes. Furthermore, Friend MTS appoints Fabien Gauthier as Vice President of Sales in Asia Pacific (APAC) to drive growth in the region. Based in Singapore, Gauthier has over 20 years of experience, in roles with various video technology companies. Gauthier will lead a new team focused on growing this market for Friend MTS.

Xiaomi Western Europe announces the appointment of Jia Wei and Cristina Caricato as Head of Marketing and Head of PR Western Europe, further expanding management capabilities in the region. A professional with international experience in the world of marketing and technology, Jia Wei has nearly a decade of experience as the head of Marketing and PR for previous large international tech players. Hers has been a rapidly ascending path, moving from project management roles to Key Account Manager, and finally to the role of Marketing and PR Director, where she was responsible for marketing and communications, particularly in the telecommunication industry. With a degree in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Milan, Cristina Caricato worked for eight years at a leading multinational communications agency. Over the years, she has held positions of increasing responsibility for high-profile clients in the Italian and international markets, including household names in technology and lifestyle.

Reddie & Grose, a UK and European firm of Patent, Trade Mark and Design attorneys, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ann-Charlotte Binnberg to the role of Business Development & Marketing Director. She arrives with over 17 years of business development and marketing experience acquired across the legal sector and associated corporate industries. Asana, Inc., a work management platform for organizations, has announced that Shannon Sullivan Duffy has been hired as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to help continue to drive enterprise growth. Based out of Asana’s headquarters in San Francisco, Ms. Sullivan Duffy will be responsible for directing the global marketing strategy as CMO. With over twenty years of experience, she boasts an impressive career track record including her most recent role as EVP Cloud & Industry Marketing at Salesforce. Ms. Sullivan Duffy has also held positions at Facebook, Jigsaw, and SourceForge.

Merkle, dentsu’s technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management company, has moved to further strengthen its UK and Ireland (UK&I) executive leadership team, following a year of double-digit growth. Reporting to the UK&I CEO, Anne Stagg, Clare Morgan has been promoted to Chief Client Officer and will have full oversight of all existing clients across Merkle UK. Having led the UK client services team across Data and Martech for the past six years, she will now also be responsible for ensuring Merkle deliver service excellence across Experience & Commerce, Analytics, B2B, and consulting, building client relationships through trust, value, and innovation. Mark Jones has been promoted to Chief Growth Officer from VP, Client Services. In his new role, Jones’s focus will be to drive growth for Merkle CXM UK&I whilst focusing on the opportunities from wider Dentsu integration. Mark Jones has spent the last seven years at Merkle leading senior client stakeholder relationships and P&Ls across large regional and global brands, consistently ensuring Merkle solutions and professional services have been focused on delivering client business value-based outcomes. Stephen Derbyshire will move into the role of Chief Solutions Officer, responsible for solution design and implementation of integrated solutions across Merkle. Derbyshire has played an instrumental part in winning and delivering several complex integrated solutions in recent years, helping to develop Merkle’s managed services. He will also support the wider growth team with larger multi-year deals and building retained revenues.

International marketing leader, Incubeta, has started the year with major changes to its leadership team, including the appointment of Jacques Van Niekerk, Global CEO of Edisen, as non-executive board director. Van Niekerk brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to Incubeta’s already impressive talent roster. Huey Evans is Chairman of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and serves on the Boards of Standard Chartered Bank, ConocoPhillips, HM Treasury and S&P Global. Since taking up her role as Chairman of the LME, she has supported and steered several key initiatives – from the major technology infrastructure rebuild, to the diversity and inclusion agenda and sustainability initiatives.
