Zumo, the Edinburgh-based crypto wallet and payments platform, has appointed Jonathan Sepulchre as Head of Growth, a newly-created function to drive the next stage of the company’s development. An experienced growth leader with a comprehensive background in digital marketing, Sepulchre will work closely with Zumo’s product and marketing teams to build out new customer acquisition channels, further increasing traffic and user numbers whilst unlocking new partner opportunities for the business. He will recruit talent for the newly-created growth function, will oversee Zumo’s diverse community and ensure that customers’ voices help inform future growth initiatives, such as international expansion and new product feature development. Sepulchre has a strong track record in growing consumer apps. Prior to joining Zumo, he worked in a senior growth role at Money Dashboard, where he led the acquisition and customer success teams and helped to secure ‘Best Personal Finance App’ at the British Bank Awards 2020. 

Criteo, the commerce media company, has announced that it has hired Jill Orr to lead the company’s growing retail media business in the EMEA region. Orr is an experienced leader with a proven track record in retail and technology, having held several executive positions including Chief Operating Officer at Eyeota and EVP International at Triad Retail Media, among others. As Managing Director, Retail Media EMEA, Orr will be responsible for the expansion of Criteo’s retail media business in the region, driving adoption among leading retailers, agencies and brands and continuing to build out retail-focused services and solutions.

Sprout Social, a provider of cloud-based social media management software, has announced six senior hires in the EMEA team. In Customer support, Claudia Manzone O’Sullivan takes on the role of Head of International Support, APAC/EMEA. Manzone O’Sullivan joins from ActiveCampaign where she helped to build the EMEA support team, having previously held positions at Slack and Facebook. Emmet Ward joins Sprout as Manager, Customer Support, EMEA – Ward joins Sprout’s EMEA Customer Support team from Workhuman. Kieran Keegan joins as Manager, Customer Success, Mid-Market. Keegan comes to Sprout Social with a wealth of experience in customer support and success, having previously worked at DocuSign, Indeed, and LinkedIn.

In marketing, Shannon Lawless has been hired as EMEA Marketing Strategist, joining from SocialTalent where she led operations, having previously been at Web Summit. In legal, Patrick Callinan has been hired as Senior Corporate Counsel. Callinan joins as Senior Corporate Counsel with over 14 years of experience advising leading international businesses, SMEs and start-ups, with extensive experience advising in the EMEA region. Finally, in business development Marie Ward is the new Head of Business Development, EMEA & APAC – Ward joins from LinkedIn where she was Senior Sales Development Manager, for Sales Solutions EMEA. Previously, Ward has experience in sales and business development at LogMeIn, Citrix, and Oracle. 

Surekha Kern joins Snap Inc in a newly created role, as Head of New Business EMEA. She will be based in London, reporting to Sam Bevan, Director of Emerging EMEA. Kern joins with many years of global ad sales experience, most recently as Head of New Business EMEA for Unidays. Prior to this Kern had roles at MTV, Sunrise Television, and prior to Unidays, spent 8 years in senior global brand partnerships roles with Discovery. Managing a team across the EMEA region, Kern will focus on activating Snap’s next generation of partners for Snapchat and building on recent steep revenue growth. Kern’s new role follows a series of recent senior UK based EMEA appointments at Snap, most recently Amber Sayer who joined as Senior Head of Retail and Ecommerce, and Matt Salmon as Commercial Director. 

Cloud networking provider, Zyxel Networks, has announced that it has appointed Kevin Drinkall as its new Director of Marketing and GTM Strategy for EMEA. The appointment comes as Zyxel Networks continues its growth strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Drinkall brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his new role. After joining the Zyxel Networks team in 2015 as a Technical Presales Engineer, Drinkall shifted into the world of market development when he was appointed as Zyxel’s EMEA Marketing Development Manager for enterprise wireless and cloud. Kicking off in his new role, Drinkall has spearheaded the launch of the brand new ‘Just Connect’ campaign, which showcases the power of Zyxel’s centralised cloud-based management platform, Nebula Together.

PROS®, a provider of SaaS solutions optimizing shopping and selling experiences, has announced that Grad Conn has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting directly to Andres Reiner, PROS Chief Executive Officer. Conn will be responsible for driving global marketing strategy, with precision focus on customer experience and brand building to extend PROS market leadership and fuel its corporate growth trajectory. Conn comes to PROS from Sprinklr, where he served as the Chief Experience and Marketing Officer. In this role, he led the establishment of the marketing function, scaled it with the business, and increased demand generation through effective digital, social and other corporate marketing initiatives. Prior to Sprinklr, Conn spent 12 years at Microsoft, seven of which he served as Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft U.S. where he led significant aspects of the marketing transformation that led to accelerated growth and the creation of world-class customer experiences.

commercetools has announced it has promoted Kelly Goetsch to be the company’s first Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Having served as Chief Product Officer (CPO) of commercetools for nearly six years, Goetsch and his team were responsible for building out commercetools’ flagship product, and now as he steps into this new position, Goetsch will play a key role in building out the company’s portfolio strategy, as well as guiding overarching corporate and product strategies. With more than 15 years of experience, Goetsch has been responsible for overseeing product management, product development, and large implementations. While at Oracle, he led product management for the company’s microservices initiatives, and prior to that role, he was a senior architect at ATG (acquired by Oracle), where he was instrumental in numerous large-scale implementations, including overseeing Walmart’s global implementation of the technology. As a thought leader in the industry, Goetsch is chairman of the MACH Alliance and a board member of the National Retail Federation’s Associate Member Council. He’s also the author of four O’Reilly-published books discussing the intersection of commerce and technology.

Firstsource Solutions Limited, a global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) services and an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, announced the appointment of Rajiv Malhotra as Head of Europe Business. In this role, Malhotra will focus on accelerating Firstsource’s growth in the UK and Europe, extending the reach of Firstsource’s transformational digital offerings in the region, and overseeing client relationships. A veteran of the IT /BPO industry, Malhotra brings over 20 years of experience across Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Logistics, Healthcare and Media, and deep expertise in growing the business of leading companies, including Mphasis and Atos Syntel, in the UK and Europe.  

Global branding agency Coley Porter Bell, part of Ogilvy, has announced the appointment of Joe Thomas as Global Head of Marketing and New Business. Based in London, Thomas will be responsible for developing UK and US marketing and new business strategies to drive growth and continue building Coley Porter Bell’s reputation as experts in delivering immersive branding for clients. Thomas was previously Managing Director at PR agency Persuasion Communications where he helped clients create and develop effective marketing and communication strategies to help businesses deliver growth. He has worked across multiple agencies including J Walter Thompson (now Wunderman Thompson) and headed up marketing and new business at AnalogFolk during an incredible period of success and growth. Starting his career in journalism, Thomas worked for titles including Marketing and Campaign.

Voyado, the Nordics’ customer experience (CXP) platform for e-commerce players and retailers, has made two major appointments as its process of expansion and diversification of services continues apace. They follow the recent acquisition of Apptus, Scandinavia’s top online merchandising and AI-powered product discovery provider. Karl Stone joins as head of UK sales. His career has seen him occupy a clutch of senior sales roles, most recently at data and experience platform, Dotdigtal, and international software titan, Adobe, before that. Both gave him an appreciation of the power of marshalling data and creativity in the customer journey. New head of UK partnerships is Alex Dale, who arrives from Lightspeed Commerce, where he was partnership development manager. His impressive background in partnerships, sales and channel management includes a number of other notable roles, including Ometria, where, as strategic partnerships manager, he worked with agencies, tech partners and consultants – all of whom Voyado are focused on for their UK partnerships plan.

Gigamon Inc., the deep observability company, has announced the appointment of Mark Coates as VP EMEA, to further drive regional growth, lead aggressive hiring strategies and support EMEA customers and prospects who are planning to adopt a modern hybrid and multi-cloud strategy. Coates will leverage over 25 years of experience from both inside and outside of the IT and Security industry, to deliver the company’s deep observability and cloud GTM strategy within the region, ensuring Gigamon’s proposition is well recognised within the Global 2000 as they accelerate digital transformation initiatives. Prior to joining Gigamon, Coates held senior leadership positions at Digital Realty, Dtex Systems, Veritas Software Corporation/Symantec and Good Technology.

Snyk is pleased to announce that it has appointed Adi Sharabani as its new Chief Technology Officer. Sharabani will be responsible for setting the company’s short and long-term vision to evolve Snyk’s industry-leading developer security platform, as well as overseeing Snyk Labs, where the ideas to fuel future innovation are born and incubated. Sharabani will collaborate directly with customers, working closely with them to anticipate what’s next and to ensure Snyk is continuously staying one step ahead of emerging industry needs. Before joining Snyk, Sharabani was a general manager at Symantec (acquired by Broadcom) running its Endpoint Solutions business including its EPP/SEP, EDR, MTD, EPM and, IOT product lines. Sharabani joined Symantec via the acquisition of Skycure, the leading Mobile Threat Defense company, which he co-founded in 2012. As CEO of Skycure, Sharabani’s pioneering efforts and thought leadership helped define the mobile threat defense industry.

M3 has completed its senior management team with the appointment of Emma Bowen as Group Account Director. The vastly knowledgeable Film, TV and Radio Studies graduate brings with her two decades of experience in the media and marketing worlds, including heading up Adgen for four years. She will be tasked with the exciting challenge of helping to recruit, shape, develop and manage the most efficient client services team in the UK, in addition to ensuring talked about, well executed, results-driven marketing campaigns for b2b and b2c accounts.

Twilio has announced Joyce Kim will be joining the company as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to President of Revenue, Elena Donio. As Chief Marketing Officer, Kim will lead global marketing as the company executes its vision of becoming the leader in the emerging customer engagement category. Joyce Kim joins Twilio from Genesys, where she also served as Chief Marketing Officer and was responsible for driving market expansion and enterprise revenue growth. Prior to Genesys, Kim was Chief Digital & Marketing Officer for Arm, where she led the enterprise-wide digital transformation and global marketing strategy with one of the largest developer ecosystems in the world. She also serves as a member of the board of directors and the audit committee at Quicklogic corporation (QUIK), the nonprofit Bring Me A Book, and is a member of the Fast Company Executive Board.

Maneesh Sharma, previously GitHub General Manager for India, has joined LambdaTest, a test orchestration and execution platform, as its Chief Operating Officer. Sharma will lead all the go-to-market functions in the company. Sharma, who has over 22 years of experience, was leading GitHub India’s phenomenal growth and operations until recently. Under his leadership India was the fastest growing market at GitHub, growing to more than 8 million developers along with a strong customer base. He has also held leadership positions at top technology companies including Adobe and SAP, and was also the Java Ambassador at Sun Microsystems, where he was driving developer engagement across APAC.
