Clarity Global appoints Bob Osmond as Managing Partner, North America

Global growth consultancy for B2B technology brands Clarity Global has appointed Bob Osmond to the role of Managing Partner, North America.

Based in New York, Osmond will lead Clarity’s North American business, overseeing regional growth, client relationships and the development of its people and services. He will also join Clarity’s global leadership team, working alongside CEO Rachel Gilley to shape the consultancy’s international strategy.

Osmond brings three decades of experience in agency leadership, strategic communications and reputation consultancy to the role, having held senior positions at Racepoint Global, Cohn & Wolfe, Ketchum and FleishmanHillard.

Most recently, he founded FWD Strategies, a communications, consulting, and executive coaching business that helps leaders and organisations address challenges in strategy, growth, and organisational alignment, enabling him to bring this experience as a professional coach to Clarity.

The EC Group hires former McCann head as Group CEO in series of senior appointments

The EC Group has announced the appointment of Chris Macdonald to the role of Group CEO. Macdonald has more than 30 years’ experience working in the creative industries, with senior leadership roles in both the UK and the US. Most recently, he held the role of Global CEO for advertising network McCann in New York, before returning to the UK to work as an investor, board advisor and non-executive director.

The Group has also announced the promotion of Event Concept MD Adam Stanley to the role of Group Managing Director, in recognition of his leadership during the company’s period of exceptional growth; and the appointment of Nick Charlton as group CFO. Charlton joins the group with more than 20 years’ experience across media, broadcast, advertising and technology. Most recently he was the Global SVP, Commercial Operations at BBC Studios.

We Are Social appoints Jeff Bowerman as Executive Creative Director

Global socially-led creative agency We Are Social has appointed Jeff Bowerman as Executive Creative Director in the UK.

Bowerman joins from digital agency DEPT, where he served as Executive Creative Director across the UK and Ireland for six years, overseeing creative, design, social, production, and creative technology teams.

With 26 years of digital advertising experience, Bowerman brings a wealth of social-first expertise to We Are Social. He joined Byte in 2020 before helping navigate its integration into DEPT, sitting on both the UKI leadership team and DEPT’s global creative council. Throughout his career, Bowerman has worked across dotcom startups, in-house client teams at Sony-BMG and Coty, and major network agencies including Dentsu and TMW (Accenture Song), where he spent 12 years and served as board-level Creative Director.

Bowerman will lead We Are Social’s creative department in the UK, reporting to Managing Director Lucy Doubleday. He will be tasked with continuing to elevate the agency’s creative output and driving cultural and commercial impact for the agency’s clients.

R&Co Communications grows SEO team with new appointment

West Midlands communications agency R&Co Communications has grown its SEO team with the appointment of Tom Hall as SEO Account Manager.

Hall has specialised in SEO for the past four years at full-service agencies in Birmingham and Manchester. He recently relocated to Warwickshire, where he grew up, and joins R&Co following a period of sustained development for the agency.

Hall will report to R&Co’s SEO lead, account director Jack Stocking, in his new role, working on technical SEO and on-page optimisation for R&Co’s SEO clients, which include H3 Health, a doctor-led men’s health clinic; pioneering Essex SEND school Hatfield Wick Education; Romanian animal charity Speranta Shelter; and pan-European supply chain experts IPP.

IDHL hires former Dentsu executive as Managing Director of Earned and Owned Media

Digital commerce and performance group IDHL has appointed Alex Wright as Managing Director of Earned and Owned Media. Wright will lead the continued development of the group’s SEO and GEO proposition, while evolving its capabilities across SEO, content, Digital PR and outreach to deliver greater value for clients.

He joins with over a decade of experience across brand-side and agency roles, most recently at Dentsu as Managing Partner, SEO where he led the UK SEO team and worked with major global brands including Heineken and Ferrero Group.

Prior to this, Wright spent seven years at Clicky, progressing from SEO specialist to Agency Director, where he led acquisition marketing across SEO, paid search and wider paid media. He has also held marketing roles at household names including Panasonic and Iceland Foods.

Assertive Yield expands team with senior appointments of Shez Iqbal and Jack Watt

AI-powered ad revenue management and intelligence firm Assertive Yield has announced the strategic expansion of its team with two senior appointments: Shez Iqbal, in the role of Senior Director, Global App Monetisation; and Jack Watt in the role of Lead Sales Engineer, EMEA.

Iqbal joins Assertive Yield with more than 20 years’ experience in digital media and ad tech. He has held senior roles at Criteo, Sabio, Sublime (now part of Azerion), LiveIntent and Outbrain, and brings deep expertise in publisher monetisation, programmatic infrastructure and emerging channels, including mobile app and CTV. In his new role, Iqbal will lead the company’s global in-app growth strategy, expanding partnerships with publishers, app developers and SSPs to help customers maximise value from their monetisation stacks.

Watt joins to lead Sales Engineering across EMEA, bringing with him 13 years of adtech experience. His background spans commercial operations, programmatic strategy, and product management, including a long tenure at MinuteMedia. He has a deep understanding of ad serving infrastructure and data strategy, and will focus on supporting the company’s regional expansion, working directly with tier-one publishers and technology partners to refine their technical roadmaps.
