Purplebricks, the tech-led estate agency has appointed UM as its Media Agency of Record. The appointment followed an extensive and competitive pitch process that started in January this year and marks the latest phase of Purplebricks step-changing its marketing activity as it looks to significantly expand its market share. The pitch was run in conjunction with Mediasense and will see UM working closely with the Purplebricks marketing team to develop a new data driven regional and national marketing and brand strategy. The appointment will begin in June with UM managing a media spend of around £7m.

Recently, ImmuniWeb created a dedicated team lead to develop and establish industry alliances with governmental cybersecurity agencies and specialized organizations in Europe, US, and APAC regions. ImmuniWeb Community Edition processes over 100,000 daily tests since 2020 and is steadily growing. The free Community Edition offering enables small municipal governments, SMEs and non-profit organizations to access foundational application security and incident monitoring at no cost.

MariaDB®Corporation has announced that e-commerce technology company Whitebox has chosen MariaDB SkySQL as its cloud database running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SkyDBA to support its turnkey marketing, sales, data and fulfilment solutions for brands. Facing the biggest online shopping season in the company’s history, Whitebox migrated to SkySQL ahead of Black Friday with the help of SkyDBAs. SkyDBAs ensured a quick and smooth cutover and, on an ongoing basis, helped Whitebox get the most out of their MariaDB cloud deployment. With SkySQL and SkyDBAs, Whitebox saw its brands achieve record sales over the holidays, ending the year with a 700% increase in orders processed year over year.

Neo PR, the B2B technology PR agency, has announced it has been appointed as the PR agency for Sign In App, developer of a visitor management app, with immediate effect. Sign In App has chosen Neo PR to further expand its footprint within the UK and internationally, compelling businesses to put smart technology at the front of their customer and employee experience. Neo PR will do this by creating strong media relationships and thought leadership to further elevate Sign in App’s brand awareness, and coverage. Neo PR’s thought leadership campaign with Sign In App has focused on the recently launched Spaces solution. With a straightforward user experience, Spaces has been designed to support businesses in meeting social distancing requirements via a smart and flexible desk and meeting room booking system.

Informa, the global events and publishing group, has collaborated with virtual events provider Totem to launch ConnectMe, a pure self-serve platform to revolutionise Informa’s virtual & hybrid events experience. ConnectMe is a new bespoke iteration of the Totem platform that Informa plans to roll out across hundreds of its conferences and exhibitions globally. The aim is to provide a seamless hybrid experience for hundreds of thousands of delegates and exhibitors at both established events and new ones that have been launched virtually. Initially, Informa plans to use ConnectMe as the platform for industry-leading events such as SuperReturn and IM|Power and will continue to expand its use throughout the year into all of the company’s events, sectors and brands. Informa will use ConnectMe to host events of any size from meetings for 10 delegates to large events for thousands.

Cohesity has announced a new company valuation of $3.7 billion, which is $1.2 billion higher than its valuation less than 12 months ago. The valuation was established in line with a $145 million tender offer made by investors to Cohesity employees who want the option to sell a small portion of their equity for liquidity. This non-dilutive transaction was led by STEADFAST Capital Ventures and supported by a syndicate of new and existing investors, including Premji Invest.
