Talent Tracker: Mirakl, Jaywing, Tempt and more

Anne-Claire Baschet has been appointed Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer at Mirakl. She will be responsible for driving the Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, working with teams to integrate AI and Machine Learning technologies into Mirakl’s products and services, and fostering a culture of AI and data within the company. Before joining Mirakl, Baschet was Chief Product & Data Officer at Aramis Group, where she led the group’s E-commerce platform and Data & AI strategy. Prior to that, she worked for six years at Voyages SNCF, first as Director of Strategy and Customer Knowledge, then as Director of Data & Product, where she was responsible for defining and operationally implementing data strategy and digital programs. From 2006 to 2012, she was Data Scientist and then Head of Data at AXA France. Before joining AXA, Anne-Claire was a consultant at MERCER.

Integrated marketing agency Jaywing has made two senior hires in business development and strategy to accelerate its ambitious 2024 growth plans. Sophie Munton joins as Commercial Director, with over 15 years of industry experience in CRM, media and customer loyalty experience in FTSE 500 companies. Sophie has worked with some of the biggest names in retail and loyalty including Nectar at Sainsburys and Morrisons on their More card proposition, aswell as previously leading commercial teams at Audience Collective, Ponderosa Agency and The Loyalty People. Leading the commercial team, Munton will be responsible for spearheading the agency’s growth and leading new business development. Danni Smith, who has spent the last five years at Skipton Building Society, also joins the business as Media Strategy Director. Smith has previously held senior positions at Victoria Plum and Carat. As a strategic partner for Jaywing’s clients, Smith will ensure that media investment is made where it will have the greatest impact on business objectives, both short and long-term. She will work closely with the Media and Data Science teams to assess the  effectiveness of campaigns and support the implementation of data-driven media strategies.  

Social media and PR agency Tempt has appointed Nathan Baxter as its new Associate Creative Director. With over 15 years of experience in content marketing, Baxter has led teams globally to implement multi-platform content-led campaigns. With a focus on hospitality, lifestyle and e-commerce, Baxter’s expertise lies in ideation, concept, brand, design, and project management. He will sit alongside Tempt Founder Beccy Gibson to strategise the agency’s next chapter and further expand its content creation services for clients.

TBWA\London has appointed James Faupel as its new Head of Production. Bringing more than two decades of industry experience, Faupel is renowned for his creative capabilities and innovative strategic approach to production, having held recent prominent roles at leading creative agencies such as Mother, 4Creative and Uncommon. He has been hired to expand and diversify the production department, exploring unconventional and disruptive ways of working across alternative channels. Faupel will report to CCO Andy Jex, who he worked with at Saatchi & Saatchi. 

Rich Ayre has been appointed as Head of Growth at Sheffield-based digital agency, Wildcat Digital. Ayre has an impressive career spanning over eight years, at some of the North’s biggest agencies including Journey Further, Jaywing and twentysix. In his new role, Rich will be working closely with founder Will Hitchmough and as an extension of the wider team, to develop sales strategies for sustainable long-term growth. In his new role, Ayre will take ownership of the overall growth strategy, from lead generation and relationship management with the agency’s network, through to pitching and closing new business. He’ll be working closely with the delivery teams to identify growth opportunities and support new clients that choose to work with Wildcat.

Shopline, Asia’s largest commerce services platform for selling online, has announced the expansion of its UK team. To support the business’s ongoing growth across the region, Shopline has appointed James Cowie as Technical Director and Jas Sandhu as [Head of] Professional Services. Both roles will be pivotal to the business to ensure that Shopline continues to deliver on its promise of technical excellence while also providing first-class customer service and consultation. In his role as Technical Director, Cowie will focus on growing the company’s technology suite and ensuring it constantly drives the best technical outcomes at the right time. This will involve working with agencies and merchants to design the architectural needs for their business problems to determine what the platform offers, when external services are needed or where custom code solutions are required. With more than 20 years of experience within the Ecommerce industry, Cowie previously worked at Magento Commerce partnering with some of the largest retailers in the UK and driving the direction of the products offered. As Professional Services, Sandhu will ensure client satisfaction, customer success and growth. His role will focus on enhancing the overall customer experience and driving client engagement and retention. With over 20 years of experience within the Ecommerce sector, he has worked across a range of retail segments including fashion, apparel, accessories and home goods. B2B International, dentu’s B2B market research agency, has appointed Conor Wilcock as Managing Director in Europe. Wilcock succeeds Matthew Harrison, who decided to step down from the role. Wilcock is a professional B2B researcher and has held various research, operational, and leadership roles at B2B International since 2009, and has most recently been responsible for sales and business development. Wilcock has led a range of research programs for clients across Europe and North America including Amazon Shipping, BASF, BP, CNN International, Henkel, ING, Samsung, and Wall Street Journal / Dow Jones. Wilcock will be joined on B2B International’s Europe leadership team by Colette Stevens who has been appointed Head of Research Services, Dan Culshaw who continues to lead Operations, and Tom Percival who will lead Business Development and Sales.
