Akeneo report highlights shift in product discovery through AI

A report from Akeneo suggests more than two-thirds of Google searches now end without a click to an external website, rising to around 80% when AI-generated summaries appear.

The report, The Invisible Shelf, examines how generative AI is changing product discovery, with AI systems increasingly recommending individual products rather than directing users to retailer websites. It argues that incomplete or unstructured product information can reduce the likelihood of products appearing in AI recommendations.

The report also states that 47% of AI Overview citations come from pages ranking below position five in conventional search results, suggesting that structured, machine-readable product information can influence visibility independently of traditional SEO rankings.

PropellerAds expands NIKO AI campaign management

PropellerAds has expanded its NIKO AI Agent to allow advertisers to create, edit, target, schedule and manage campaigns through conversational prompts.

The updated system supports formats including push notifications, Onclick, Telegram Ads, interactive ads and paid social traffic. Advertisers can also make changes to bids, geographical targeting and budgets, manage creatives, clone campaigns and access performance data through the chat interface.

SEGA cuts digital ad production time using Bannerflow

SEGA has reduced the production time for digital advertising campaigns by two-thirds after introducing Bannerflow‘s creative automation across seven international markets.

The system is being used across the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia to manage creative variations for different languages, currencies, age ratings, formats and sizes. SEGA said a production process that previously took around three weeks has been reduced to approximately one week.

The company has also introduced Bannerflow’s Social Dynamic Ads, which dynamically incorporate elements including local currencies, age ratings and product features.

Kochava expands StationOne Workspaces across major platforms

Nano Interactive launches CTV data intelligence platform

Its Screen Graph technology combines information from different publishers to create more complete content records, including details such as programme titles, episode numbers, recency, cast, runtime, popularity and content sensitivity.

The system enables planners to analyse CTV content by topic and region and create audience segments based on intent and content interests.

WP Engine opens Smart Search AI to all WordPress sites

WP Engine has made its Smart Search AI product available to websites built on WordPress, rather than limiting it to WP Engine customers.

The tool uses semantic search to interpret the meaning and context of queries, including longer searches and queries containing errors. It automatically indexes new and updated content and supports WordPress environments including WooCommerce and Advanced Custom Fields.

The product also includes access to a Smart Search AI MCP Server, currently in open beta, allowing organisations to expose live site content to external AI agents.
