Sightly Bolsters UK and Global Teams With Hires From Captify and GumGum

Sightly, the AI-driven marketing intelligence company behind the Brand Mentality® platform, has announced two senior appointments aimed at deepening its presence in the UK and accelerating its international growth strategy.

Laura Sanderson has joined the company as Director of Sales, UK Regions, while Paul Lowrey steps in as VP, Global Marketing Strategy & Enablement. Together, the hires signal Sightly’s intent to keep investing in its UK operation while building out a more structured global go-to-market function, as the New York-based firm looks to capitalise on a period of rapid growth.

Sanderson arrives with more than 15 years of experience spanning media agencies, publishers and ad-tech, including senior commercial positions at Captify and Teads. Based in Manchester, she has been a vocal champion of the media industry outside London and previously sat on the board of the Manchester Publicity Association, where she was recognised as a Rising Star. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving growth across the UK regions, forging partnerships with agencies and brands, and helping advertisers extract more value from data-driven media.

Sanderson described the momentum behind Sightly’s UK operation as a major draw, noting the team has expanded from nothing to eight people in a short period. She pointed to the company’s technology and ambition as key factors in her decision to join at what she called an important stage of its growth.

Lowrey, meanwhile, brings over two decades of experience in digital media and advertising technology to his new position. He joins from GumGum, where he served as Global Director of Solutions Marketing & Sales Enablement, working on go-to-market strategy, brand positioning and commercial enablement. At Sightly, he will be tasked with aligning marketing strategy, sales and go-to-market execution as the company expands internationally, drawing on a reputation for translating complex ideas into clear, actionable plans across teams.

Rob Trotter, Managing Director for EMEA at Sightly, framed the appointments as a reflection of broader shifts in the advertising market, pointing to nine months of significant growth and increasing advertiser demand for aligning brands with cultural moments and trends. He also noted that agencies are now licensing Sightly’s technology to power their own agentic products and workflows, extending the company’s reach beyond direct media investment.

Alena DeSalvo, SVP of Marketing at Sightly, said the fact that the company launched in the UK less than a year ago and already warrants dedicated global marketing leadership speaks to the pace of its expansion. She praised Lowrey’s ability to translate complex technology into a compelling narrative and equip commercial teams to sell it effectively.

The appointments come as Sightly reports double-digit growth over the past 12 months alongside continued global expansion. The company’s Brand Mentality® platform combines real-time cultural, contextual and audience intelligence to help brands plan, create and activate campaigns around culture and audience behaviour.
